Re: Contact
Ibrahim,
This question would be appropriate for the Chat Subgroup, but definitely not here, and I wouldn't recommend the Chat Subgroup, either. Both the Android Accessibility and PhonesForTheBlind groups on Groups.io would be far better places to ask this question. As this is entirely off-topic here, and there are venues where it's dead on-topic and would get the attention it needs, this topic is now locked. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. Hi good people:
This is not an NVDA issue, but I connect my phone to my PC using the NVDA screen reader. Please does anyone use an Android phone made in China, which comes in the Chinese language. I actually have an Android phone, made in China. The original language is Chinese. I had to get sighted assistance to change the system language from Chinese to English. Unfortunately, I didn't know it is a Chinese phone when it was ordered for. I purchased it online. I'm having problems with the phone, and I now want to do a factory reset. Is it possible for one to do the reset independently on one's own. How can I change the system language when there is no speech. and one cannot see the screen. Looking forward to reading a response. Ibrahim.

When Nvda keys appear to freeze, also window keys appear to freeze.
Using Nvda version 20. On windows 10 1909. I noticed that the keys will freeze. That is, control left in control right, and things like that. I know that someone reported this before. We starting Nvda works to fix this. I’ve also done the Com
registration tool as well. I’ve seen us in Thunderbird, discord, jarred, just about everywhere. Here’s a log.

Close it with the task manager or in the system tray, if you aren't doing so when that happens.

This website is a treasure trove. There are many more games on there than I remember Jim having. When I have access to my windows computer here in a while, I will be taking a look. Thank you so much for this. I have missed those games. God rest his soul. Ben

Hi,do the games work with win ten? I didn’t think that site still exists. The games do exist. But are they updated? Last I seen, they worked for older versions of windows like xp.

On the off chance this might be somehow pertinent, in your message to the group all of the text except for your signature is right justified, which is really odd. I don't know if the setting that's causing this might be somehow related
to the issue that you are having. Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. Ok, your issue poses many question:
1. Does the QBraille behave this way connected with both USB and Bluetooth? 2. Does punctuation work in other languages? 3. Do you have Hybrid Mode on? 4. Are you working in the Hebrew braille code or computer braille? 5. If Hebrew, have you tried computer braille? 6. Has it always worked this way or only a recent problem? 7. If you are connected through Bluetooth, have you paired both the display and the screen reader separately? If you are using USB, that I know this isn't necessary.
I am having issues with my QBraille too, and JAWS, but it works fine in USB, not in Bluetooth. In Bluetooth, the cursor routing buttons and panning buttons are inoperative. I've been told it's the version of Windows I'm using, but I don't believe this because these issues started long before the current windows version, and apparently, though I haven't tested it yet, it works fine with NVDA.
This is sad, because I love the QBraille but was hoping to be able to connect with Bluetooth.
Diana
Hi list,
I have QBraille XL from Hims, and so far its cool device!
But I have problems with NVDA and other screen readers.
When I'm trying to type on the perkins keyboard in Hebrew, its does write the letters and numbers, but its doesn't write the symbols like comma, full stop, question mark and so on. In the display's notepad for example its working just fine, all the symbols are written correctly.
So its not related to the display itself, its related to the screen reader.
Any help is appreciated.

Topics on Games - Please take them to the Chat Subgroup
#adminnotice
Hello All,
I am requesting that topics related to games be taken to the Chat Subgroup. The Group Rules state: Before choosing where to post, please ask yourself the question, “Is what I’m about to ask directly related to controlling or using NVDA, or whether a specific program is accessible with NVDA?” If that can be answered, “Yes,” then post to the NVDA Group, and if the answer is, “No,” then the topic belongs in the NVDA Chat Subgroup. That's where topics on games belong, unless you are asking a very specific question on how to access something during play with NVDA or whether a given game is accessible at all with NVDA. Even then, I'd consider asking this on the Chat Subgroup first, as these discussions tend to focus on the game in question with NVDA as a tangent, at best. NVDA Chat Subgroup Addresses

Re: NVDA and Facebook on the web
JM Casey
I use it too, but just because it’s less of a headache. I guess that makes it better, for our purposes, but it is not exactly a full facebook experience like the regular site. It is also buggy and very low priority. Even though it is called “facebook mobile”, most mobile users use the app and don’t bother with the web interface, so there’s virtually no impetus to fix things when they go wrong. There are unexpected glitches and things you’d think would be easy to accomplish that simply can’t be done. And if you are doing something like adding invites friends to a group or event, you have to keep clicking through pagea after page…same with going back through your messages: “See more, see more, see more”…argh gimme a break, so annoying. But yeah, it is certainly easier to do simple stuff like read your news feed – it is like facebook: the Neutered version and I’m mostly ok with that, bugs and annoying scrolling notwithstanding.

It is so much easier to use the mobile Facebook website. If you use m. Facebook.com, you can just use the same commands as you would for any web page. You simply have categories like friends, messages, and so on, and you just press enter on those links. I have never been able to use the full Facebook website. Even with the supposed commands, they never work for me. The mobile Facebook website is so much better, because you navigate it just like you would with hattings, links, and so on on any website. The mobile Facebook site is very simplified and easy to use without all of the clutter. Have a great one!
