From the preferences menu appears the "Weather Plus Settings" item?

What do you see about Weather Plus  from tools, manage addons?

There must be only "Weather Plus; Status: running; Version: 4.5 15.09.2017".

If the status is remove, has not been properly uninstalled.

Let me know that I want to understand.

I have used this add on for quite some time and never had issues with updating it till this version in Windows 10. It looks like I was able to update it that time and my city appears in the city list as the only one, but I get nothing when I hit NVDA+w even though all check boxes are checked and I should hear something. The volume appears to be high enough I should hear something as well. Guess I'll give up on this one this time.

the next screen will give you a whole eahp of options. The very first place where it lands will let you put in a town or ciy etc. In my case i say put hawera then tabbed to a button that says Test
This testing the validity of city woeID entry and find the name of city assigned, or v then pressed the space bar. It will then come up with some results. You can then arrow down the results and when you find the one you want use the tab key so it lands on the ok button then press the space bar.

it will then take you back to where you typed in the name of the town or city tab once it will land you on a button that will give you details to make sure it is the correct town or city tab again and it will give you the option to add it to the list press the space bar on it.

You can also keep on tabbing and there will be other options to choose from just use the space bar to check or uncheck the boxes you want to hear. make sure you tab to the ok button then press the space bar for it to take affect.

You can also preset that place as your default when you press the nvda key + letter W

You can also add more places by repeating the steps to add more places.

If you say added 4 you can get to them quickly by pressing the nvda key + ctrl key + shift key + letter W then arrow down the list to the one you want to hear from with nvda key + W.

After installing NVDA Open Office stopped responding.  I have a Dell Inspiron running Windows 10.  Also, I can no longer find NVDA on my computer.  I donated 15.00 two times and downloaded NVDA.  Now it  is gone.

What are the solutions?

Ok, solved. It is not very confortable but you got it.

In presence of a combobox, go to forms mode. alt-down arrow. Automatically it swithces to browse mode. Go another time in form mode and then you can select the item.

Well I was only saying that this has come up on the bugs list and until they can identify how it happens its not going to get sorted out. It seems strange that a few people have it but others do not. I'm stumped myself, as unless its some driver that is an issue, what is there left?

I have been facing a strange issue with NVDA on the Windows logon
screen. I have an Acer machine running Windows 10. I set NVDA to start
at the logon screen. The user account control promptly appeared and I
clicked yes there. However, when I shut the system down and restarted
it, NVDA didn't launch. However, after I completely turned User
Account Control off, it does start, and starts faster than Jaws would
manage. Is there a way to get it to work on the Windows logon screen
even though UAC is turned on and set to 67 percent?

I'm not sure why this question with thunderbird even comes up. When you
press enter on a message, thunderbird automatically reads the message,
there's no need to arrow down or use read to end at all, it
automatically reads when the message opens, and it does it all by
itself, the NVDA support for thunderbird is very good in that regard.

Yes, also because if you don't press enter, how can you select an item from the combobox?
You press enter, then if you press alt-down arrow keys to open the combobox, you automatically go into browse mode!
And if you select an item from the combobox without pressing alt-down arrow, NVDA doesn't tell you the selected item because the combobox is dynamic and change language in a second.

Months ago I described many issues when using LibreOffice with NVDA.

I learnd to live with these annoyances and now I am aware that they will
not be solved. I even think that using LibreOffice with NVDA will get
worse because

I feel that there is no comunication between the developers of both
software. It is enough to say that something so usefull as changing
between focus and brouse modes don't work in LibreOffice.
Unfortunately, I have nor the time, the patience or the knowledge to use
the standard ways of reporting bugs.
So, I decided to stick with the LibreOffice version that better suits my
needs and at the same time has less problems ((5.2).
As I can't afford Office, maybe I will ask for Ms for a donnation.

For those wondering, Symphony was the original name when IBM had the
code.
Also on other parts of the program, it seems that the database part
is completely inaccessible giving the impression nothing is on screen
after the basic set up wizard has completed.
