Re: thunderbird addon

I believe it is a thunderbird extension not an NVDA addin.
Isn't this correct?

Re: thunderbird addon
Ron Canazzi
Hi Group,
It allows the rearrangement of header columns among other things. The NVDA add on that is supposed to enhance Thunderbird functionality is called Mozilla apps enhancement. However, this add on does not work with Thunderbird 78. The quick key folder navitation is a Thunderbird add on. I don't know if it works with version 78. On 7/21/2020 9:29 AM, Michel Such

I search for that in the addon manager and nothing shows up.
Wonder if this addon doesn't work with thunderbird version 78?

hotkey to turn on/off focus highlight
Hi,
Not sure if this has been suggested before but, I wonder whether it would be possible to add the ability to set a hotkey to turn on/off focus highlight in NVDA? Given that in the input gestures dialog the hotkey for screen curtain can be customized, I thought it would be nice if the hotkey for focus highlight can be customized as well.

NVDA not announcing blank line in between two paragraphs
Hi!
NVDA does not announce a blank line between two paragraphs while reading texts line by line using down arrow unlike JAWS which inserts a blank line between paragraphs, for example, while reading books from Bookshare Web Reader or reading news from an online portal. I prefer blank line in between two paragraphs or after a paragraph. Can NVDA be configured to announce a blank line between two paragraphs? Or, can this issue be addressed in upcoming updates?

Disable interactions with specific programs
Joonas Palosuo
Hi! I'm working as a web developer and am currently using NVDA to test our webpages for accessibility. For some reason using Visual Studio Code while having NVDA open causes the code editor to lag substantially (even in silent mode), and as I don't really need the screen reader for other programs than my web browser (Chrome, Firefox) for testing purposes I would prefer to completely disable it for VS Code or only enable it for my web browsers. I couldn't find a way to do this in any of the documentations, is there something that could be done, for example via the python console? Best regards, Joonas Palosuo

And just to add to the suggestions - if you've just installed a new version of NVDA, have you restarted the PC? Occasionally you get weird things which just don't work properly after installing or updating software, and the next time you restart Windows. Quentin.

Re: strange windows message
Hmmm. I have the latest update of windows 10 and everything works, I did however get the latest drivers which were released on the day of the update, 20.5.1, its now 20.7.2 but whatever, they all work. Most of my drivers on the laptops actually didn't need changing bar sound, camera, one of the network cards and the mouse. No firmware updates needed so far.

Hi, That’s one of the reasons why I asked for the current build number, as dev and beta channels are on different builds. Given that Windows 10 Insider Preview just told you that the build is about to expire, you are either running a really old build (prior to 19041) or on an earlier dev channel (say, 19600 or 20161). Cheers, Joseph
