This request has been made to NVDA developers directly through this Github ticket: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/2522. I encourage you to contribute to that conversation by possibly sharing (i) use cases or scenarios where you experience this, (ii) why this has a negative impact on your experience, and (iii) other pieces of context for this issue that might make its importance more clear to the devs. Thanks.

Re: ClipSpeak doesn't seem as reliable as
Gerardo,
Not that there's the slightest thing wrong with asking about how ClipSpeak is behaving for others here, but once you have even a single counterexample for the specific problem you're having suspect something about your own ecosystem, be that a corruption in Windows 10, some weird interaction secondary to Spanish (in your case) being selected and what gets exposed to the ClipSpeak add-on, or similar. If there is someone else reading who's also using Spanish it would be interesting to know if they've got the same issue, as that would point to some sort of issue secondary to language, but if they aren't then it points even more to something being not quite right on your machine. But if further input suggests an issue for others that matches yours, it's the developer of the Add-On who should be the first point of contact as far as seeking a solution. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. And which is what I have as well installed since yesterday. Remember I use Windows in Spanish, thus I went into check within the Clipboard subsection ofInput Gestures, and the Control+x is as it should.

NVDA version 2020.1, with Windows 10 2004 (64 bits) build 19041.329, and Clipspeak 1.1.

What version of Clipspeak, and what version of NVDA and Windows are you using?
I just downloaded Clipspeak 1.1, installed into NVDA Alpha, on Win 10 update 2004.
In firefox, I selected a bunch of lines, and pressed ctrl+c. I heard "Copied text". I then opened notepad, and pressed ctrl+v, for which I heard "Pasted text". Lastly, I selected all and pressed ctrl+X, and heard "Cut text".
It seems to be working as expected.

Re: ClipSpeak doesn't seem as reliable as
Well 19.3 was the python3 switchover. So 19.2 was the last python 2 version. I actually think that in most cases nvda is a lot more stable with the later python version.

I omitted that the version currently downloading from the official add-on page you supplied, https://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/clipspeak.en.html, is ClipSpeak 1.1, which is what Luke stated he just downloaded in an earlier post. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. Re: ClipSpeak doesn't seem as reliable as
At least at the moment, add-ons compatible with the 2019.X NVDA releases should also be compatible with 2020.X releases. (Unless I've completely erased the development history of NVDA, it was 2019.X where the change from Python 2 to Python 3 occurred.)
I imagine that the "compatible with" lines on the add-on pages are often updated only when a new version of the add-on is released, and likely not after until the next update must be made. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. Hass Clip Speak been upgraded to make it compatible with newer versions of NVDA? If I understand what I saw on the web site, it has been. Do you have this version?

We need to know what kind of text he is trying to read. Where it comes from, what format it is, what language, etc. A sample text file might even be good.

Re: Subscribing/Unsubscribing from the NVDA Group on Groups.io
Zahra,
Depending on when you joined the group, and how, there is a Groups.io feature in your Accounts page, Preferences tab, that is a checkbox that reads, I always want copies of my own emails. The default state for that these days is off, but at one time it was on. That's the most likely reason. However, if you have an e-mail client with filters set up there are times that filters can end up creating double copies as well. If you have never logged on to the Groups.io website, then see the beginning of this document, Controlling the Messages You Receive via E-Mail from Groups.io, with regard to how to get a password to log in to the site to control your various settings. At this point you do not need to know anything beyond how to get set up to log in and can read the rest of that document at your leisure. After you log in to Groups.io, you can copy and paste this URL, https://groups.io/account?page=prefs, into your address box and you'll be taken straight to your preferences page where you can examine that checkbox and uncheck it if it's checked. Just remember to activate the Update Preferences button at the bottom of the page to save your changes if you make any. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. First, you can't use Firefox 51 forever. Old browsers gradually work with fewer and fewer sites. Try the latest version of Firefox and see if it crashes or not on your Windows 7 system. You can try the portable version since that alters nothing on your system. You can continue to use your beloved years out of date dangerous version if you wish and evaluate the current portable version. Many people are using Firefox, the latest one, and I've seen no pattern of complaints. While I don't use firefox much, I haven't had problems with more recent versions.
