Microsoft OneNote

Hey folks. Just putting some feelers out to see if anybody uses this (OneNote) and how well it works with NVDA. I’m in a position where it’s been used to conduct/coordinate a D&D campaign (yes, really) and I don’t want to have to make someone change his whole way of doing things – but the last time I poked around with oneNote I couldn’t really make much useful out of it. At that time though I had no specific goal in mind. Any thoughts? Tips /pointers? Is the app that comes with Windows 10 sufficient or is there, like Skype, another/better one I should download for best results?
Thanks!

Thanks for the tip about the NVDA+Alt+arrows! I didn’t realize this command was available! Much easier to navigate indeed!

Using Windows version 1909and NVDA version 2020.1. I downloaded the Timezoner update from the add on updater today. It is version 1.04 and when I press the original keystroke for the add on (so, its not a input gesture) NVDA + Alt + T to tell the time in which time zone I have selected the add on gives no answer. I added a second time zone and still no time being told to me. I happened to have the previous version to install. I Reinstalled that and it works. Anybody else having trouble with the update? Also, Once I realized the Timezoner didn’t work downloading from the updater I did remove the add on and re downloaded again but to no avail.

Maybe try Write Monkey, but get v. 2, as v. 3 is inaccessible.

Latest version works as it should. I even featured it on a Spanish-speaking podcast I’m preparing to upload to the “ActualidadAccesible” site found at http://actualidadaccesible.com if you guys know enough Spanish to give it a look. I posted two previous articles and podcasts about the NVDA screen reader already;this will be the 3rd in a series.

That would be nice. I don't mind writing the code myself but sometimes I need a slightly helping hand. Lol. I did ask this on twitter but so far have come up with no results. Re: blank lines add on.
I read the original request as Gene did. I thought it might be possible to control this either with punctuation level or possibly by adding a regular expression match for a blank line in the default dictionary, making its substitution be nothing at all, but neither of those methods seem to work.
If any other regex geeks are reading this, the expression I used to match a blank line is: ^\s*$ I still have "blank" being announced when I am down or up arrowing line by line through text. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. Re: An NVDA-compatible Markdown editor?
There's none that is kept up to date, so the best thing is to use Microsoft word with the Writage add on.

Re: blank lines add on.

I have no objection to an add-on or feature in NVDA that would skip blank lines when you up or down arrow reading the next line of text. I don't recall seeing that asked for in the past and as I understood the question yesterday, it was how to avoid blank lines when down arrowing through a message, appearing that the person was reading line by line.

When reading documents in a word processor or mail as HTML, it is my understanding that control down arrow or control up arrow will read by paragraph, skipping blank lines in documents. I haven't used that feature enough to discuss it further, others may have. Gene

An NVDA-compatible Markdown editor?
Gerardo Corripio
Any of you guys know of an accessible NVDA-compatible Markdown Editor, in which I could when a link is poasted into the document, invoke a command, that will generate the Markdown code for it? Or wen I want to generate a list, it would automatically when entering a new line for the list, generate the Star character? Thanks for info.

Hi Use the audio ring, NVDA+Control+Left/right arrow loops around various audio features, one of which is voice. Once set on Voice, use NVDA+Control+Up/Down arrow to switch between voices.

I may have missed any responses, been fielding too many emails elsewhere.
I installed two Vocalizer voices from Code Factory and wonder if there is a shortcut to switching between them on the fly? Also one voice has an update, how would I get it? Thanks.
