Hello all, The NVDA add-ons community is investigating two possible follow-ups:
Because the latter is essentially Image Describer add-on with improvements made, the community will remove original Image Describer provided that the author says so and the community cannot maintain it due to costs for upkeep and other matters beyond our control. As of now, until the matter is fully resolved, I request everyone to disable Image Describer add-on. Cheers, Joseph (P.S. I have not used it for a while but have you got ducking turned on set to always duck in nvda. I think it makes nvdas voice louder and if watching you tube etc it makes it duck and heaps quieter. Use the nvda key + shift key + the letter D and cycle it away from it. You should hear aalways duck, no ducking, duck when out putting speech and sounds and always duck. See if that works. Gene nz \.

I have figured out, afterwords I understood that this is a problem from the headset model it’s self. I believe that your headset model is not supporting two channels voices at the same time, So I advise you to purchase a new headset like what I have done before. Yours Faithfully. Discrepancy Between NVDA and Youtube sounds
Hi every one,
There is a discrepancy between the volume of sound I get from NVDA and Youtube. For instance, when I listen to a Youtube video I need to turn the volume all the way up to hear some sound, but then the volume from NVDA is at 100%. Is there a way to equalize the sound volumes of both NVDA and Youtube so that I won't have to turn up the volume all the way up to listen to a Youtube video? Any help would be appreciated. NVDA stops speaking completely when you are playing a song? What
program are you using to play songs? My only suspicion would be
that your program is switching your headphones into headset mode,
so that's effectively another audio device, and NVDA keeps sending
speech to the old audio device, which is ignored since your
headphones are in headset mode. Not sure if headset mode is the
right term - but I mean that mode that for example skype uses to
capture audio from your headphones and send audio with lower
latency. This mode is known to be different from the normal mode
for bluetooth headphones, that typically provides higher quality
and higher latency audio. So maybe try another program to play
music or figure out what's the output device for music? --Tony

Hi. In a previous message I wrote about my frustration regarding noticeable sluggishness when navigating character by character in a Microsoft Word document.
In yet another thread I wrote a workaround responding to someone who indicated that sometimes NVDA did not respond properly when first opening a Word document. At one point Quentin commented and recommended running the Com Registration Fixing Tool from the NVDA Tools menu. He said that he wasn't sure if doing this would correct the problem but he encouraged people to at least try it. I remembered this and decided to run the tool. Amazingly, both of the above mentioned issues are fixed, at least on my machine. 1. Cursor responsiveness while navigating in Word is just about the same as when navigating in another word processor, such as Jarte. 2. NVDA now focuses properly in the document window when I open Word. I had this problem many years ago and it seems that the only thing that helped me at that time was too reinstall again NVDA. you could do that with another running screen reader or with portable version of NVDA. The best thing you could do is to remove NVDA completely from your computer and reinstall it again. After removing NVDA from your computer it is important also to delete the NVDA folder from the <user, Update, Roaming, nvda, from your computer. Then restart your system and reinstall NVDA. I'm afraid that other solutions will only complicate the use of NVDA properly . Also, I suggest you checked if your browsers are up-to-date and if the Accessibility features are not turned off. It is very important to use the last version of the browser as well as the screen reader that way you can achieve the most effective compatibility on your system. What Time zone are you at? I’m pacific. Eastern is 3 hours ahead of me. So 7 eastern is 4 my time. If you are central it will be one hour ahead of you. Mountain time would be 2 hours ahead. I could be lying.
