hi,

After installing the latest windows update, a friend of mine can no longer read the windows+x menu and many other things. Nvda just says unknown. SFC scannow has proven ineffective. Also, narrator doesn't read said menus. Anyone have a solution to this?

 

Using current IE, W10 and NVDA. I get message sometimes from IE letting me know that disabling add-ons,will help my browser go faster. If I do so, will this happen? What would happen if I do so?

Can anyone suggest a very basic email program for use with NVDA.

We are working with some NVDA users who are elderly or who have little computer skill.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Oh yes Thunderbird works great with NVDA! I'm using and have been using Thunderbird as my EMail client for the past almost 4 years!

I got it to work. I tried disabling all the effects and it didn't work. What I did was downgrade from the current driver to the one before. I didn't uninstall it, just downgraded it. Now it works perfectly.
