Hi Kenny, Part of the reason is that the add-ons community did not receive a notice from Tony about new versions of his add-ons. Also, unless requested by add-on authors, there are no separate development releases channel for add-ons. There are two other reasons:

Re: about audio related issue on bluetooth headset
Hello Meet. I told you, the problem is with your headset itself, I was using the same brand of your headset from GPL and I was facing this problem. You have to change this model to the newest one. For myself, I have changed it to a headset with a USB connection, because it is better than Bluetooth. If you search in any electronic shop, you will find many choices that will be suitable for you. Always try to find a headset that support more than one channel voices. I hope that’s helpful. Yours Faithfully. (Hasan Tayem) Mobile: +962788266670

I figured out how to stop the Add-on Updater from checking BrowserNav, and Tony's enhancements for updates.
Under NVDA Settings -> Add-on Updater -> Do not Update Add
ons [List]. Checked the boxes for the 2 add ons in question and no
more false update alert.

It costs power, and therefore battery life, to keep the audio path open, amplified, and ready for action at all times. The only way to fix this problem, is to keep the bluetooth device in an awake state. The only way you can do that, for these manufacturers which don't use gate circuits with a fast enough response, or for some other reason take long enough to power up that you miss words, is to send some constant sound to them. That's what the Bluetooth Audio add-on does: it sends a noise floor at a high enough level that the bluetooth device stays active longer, and so you don't miss any speech. Don't use it if your tooth device handles speech without difficulty. Do use it if it doesn't. Luke

You might be able to keep the headset active if you use a utility called something like Silence. I don't know if you can find it on the Internet, but I'll send a link to it on my Dropbox account. It keeps things active that turn off automatically like some sound cards and some portable speakers. You will have to see if it works with Blue Tooth speakers. I haven't used Blue Tooth Enough to know.

Re: Copy value from foreground window
Sam Taylor
Hi Edhoari I'm late to this thread, but the Speech History addon may work for you. It has the ability to move through the buffer of speech items, and copy the last utterance you have heard to the clipboard. I use it constantly and find it a fantastic addition to NVDA. https://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/speech_history.en.html Cheers Sam

Re: How Do I Stop the NVDA Updater from Monitoring Specific Addons?
Kenny <kwashingtonbox@...>
I'm using NVDA Version: 2020.1.
I downloaded the files for installing Tony's add-ons directly from his Github page. Not sure if those versions are newer then the one's NVDA are pointing too in the Updater.
They're definitely older for the Browser Nav 1.9 version that the
updater wants me to install doesn't have the newly added "Browser
Marks" option Tony introduced a few weeks ago. The 1.11 version I
have installed does.
Maybe it's just my PC then. I'll just keep closing the add-on
updater notice when it pops up. It's just annoying me somewhat.

You do not mention what version of NVDA you're using. That matters, as "the newest" is, as far as add-ons go, "the newest compatible with the NVDA you're running."

new world virtual mailer
hurrikennyandopo ...
Hi guys
I am wondering if some one can tell me the following. If I go to the following website at http://www.newworld.co.nz then go down to the virtual mailer and press the enter key on it up will come the virtual mailer You might have to jump down to see what is been sold in it. I am not sure how much focus NVDA gets on it but jumping down by buttons then arr-owing down will get you to it. Even though NVDA reads out the product when you press the enter key on it to find out more there is like a window that comes up It will tell you the price etc and you can add it to a list but for some reason NVDA does not see this pop up with the information. yet when I tested the same thing with jaws I picked out a product from the list pressed the enter key on it then I think it is a box come up with information on it and price etc and to add to list. When I pressed the enter key on the product I think I used the letter H for headings then arrowed down to get more info. But the same process does not work for NVDA. This is using latest version of google chrome and the latest version of the new edge as well as nvda 2020.1 Could some one put in a ticket for it and or see what is happening. I downloaded the mailer and I know for a fact that is not accessible to a screen reader user it is just scanned images. Gene nz Yet NVDA does not see it. I have tried quite a few ways to bring it up. Could some one try to reproduce the same problem I am guessing this is a bug that will need to be fixed.
