Let me encourage you to beware of CodeFactory.

I bought the CodeFactory Eloquence about two years ago from CodeFactory, mostly because I had become used to Eloquence with JAWS.

After installing and reinstalling it without success, our IT Department (and we have over 1,000 employees and an IT staff of over 20 people), CodeFactory’s technical support just said “Sorry.”

Certainly, our level of security is higher than most, but for technical support simply to give up and not even offer a refund left our IT Department and me amazed.  What kind of organization does that?

It was only $30, but for me, it is a matter of integrity.  I might have refused an offer of a refund, but not even to offer one spoke volumes to me about the integrity of the organization.

I’m happy with Microsoft’s One Core voices.  In fact, when I use JAWS with Eloquence, it is just a bit unpleasant now.

You can use the SAPI5 version of Eloquence or the NVDA add-on sold by CodeFactory.

As the NVDA add-on have a bad sound on some systems, I recommend to test the add-on or buy the SAPI5 version...

I’ve several files in a shared Dropbox folder, using the latest office 2019 with latest NVDA, and am unable to when pressing Enter on the files or file to work with it, to get the focus away from a Popup that says Dropbox, thus if I could, it’d allow me to as usual, work and navigate through the files in question. I tried Maxing via Alt+space but no luck! Also I’ve tried Control+f4, but that closes the Word document in question!

Is this an NVDA problem,or how can I get rid of the Dropbox icon that’s supposedly blocking NVDA to gain focus? Hope I made sense.

Team viewer does do this. But the price model is kind of high if this
is what you want to do this, so I would file on their github page and
see where it ttakes you, and post a link here when you do to the issue
page.

Have you filed an issue on their github if they have one/ if so what has then their response? I know with team viewer It's text only if I recall, as it was only text that they copied over from my address bar to theirs.

Why, Sarah? Every other remote desktop platform out there can move files from one machine to the other. I know people who run their whole business that way: moving files to and from remote computers at remote locations without human employees via the Splashtop remote desktop tool, which they also use to control what happens to those files.
NVDA Remote really needs this capability.
If you let someone you don't trust into your computer, then you bear the outcome.
That aside, if someone is doing a remote session and really badly wants a file from you, there are several ways they can acquire it--SCP from your machine to another, a web uploader, an email attachment, good old FTP, and more.
It's all just much less convenient than having the remote desktop software do it.

I am using the standard arrow keys for navigation. Indeed, it
sometimes become difficult to read with the standard arrow keys for
navigation. The problem is when I try to write or read. Because, when
I open a document to read and edit, the system carret (the edit
cursor) remains at the beginning of the document. And when I try to
read word by word with control + left/right arrow, it doesn’t work. In
this case, I read word by word with control+nvda key + left/right
arrow, which is reading keystroke for text review mode. to be able to
edit and read with the standard arrow keys for navigation, I restart
my pc; and it temporarily works fine.

So, I’m having a bit of  a brain cramp here and need a refresher.

I periodically receive an excel spreadsheet (Office 2016) with hundreds of rows of data for my interpreting business. I have to select which assignments I can cover. There are a myriad of languages and services in this spreadsheet throughout the state of California. As I mainly cover Spanish language assignments, filtering by that language is easy enough, but within that language, there is another criteria in another cell specifying the type of interpretation service requested. Legal, Medical, standard, etc. So, I don’t really cover legal interpretation

And this is where I’m stuck. I’d like to be able to hide the appointments/rows where the requested service is “In Court Certified,” but can’t find where to do it. I’ve poked around online and there are some step-by-step instructions, but either I can’t follow the sequence or they involve macros. I’m not against using macros per say even though I’m not too familiar with them, but I figure there has to be a way to simply hide the rows I’m not interested in seeing and condensing the spreadsheet.

These appointments are pretty much first come first serve, so being able to better filter out the superfluous ones would be a huge help to my productivity instead of sifting through one by one to see if it’s legal or not.

I’m mainly a Jaws user, but I suppose this sort of inquiry can apply to Jaws or NVDA.

Any input would be appreciated.
