Hello:

FreeCommander is a Norton Commander file manager clone.

Norton Commander was one of the first DOS file managers and is still cloned by software developers because of its long lasting popularity!

Hope this helps you out!

When the message is selected in the list but not opened, open the context menu and look through it. you will probably find something such as add sender to contacts.

I have used master seeker but that does have field labelling issues on nvda, but it might be possible to write an app module or add on for that. Basically, I can only suggest you try it. Make sure you set a system point before its installed then if you need to remove it and it causes any issues you can restore it to before you installed it.

Re: entering data in Firefox

Brian's Mail list account BY <bglists@...>

This is such a strange on that its very hard to see what is doing what to which piece of software.

I'm actually now using IE again as my main browser as every time Firefox does an update it seems to have new quirks. The most recent seems to be on the bbc I player where it asks if you have a tv licence, on Firefox I can find no way to click the yes or no buttons. the dialogue vanishes as you try to navigate. However in IE it is part of the page and is clickable, though tends to throw you to the home page which means you need to go back to where you were. it also remembers the choices and subsequent visits you are not asked, which also seems not to be the case in Firefox, I suspect this is due to something cleaning out cookies on that browser.

Anyone know how Chrome is doing in this respect, or whether it too has a policy not to support xp. The man thing which seems to be killing off even hacked xp, is the deminishing range of browsers it can use with a screenreader.

Hi

Is that from off the main add on page? that is where the add ons are but link to another page where the add on is. You will need to go to that page to get it.

There will be a stable version of it as well as a developers version.

Depending which browser you are using you could try any of the following.

While on the link you can use the letter K to jump down to the stable version then either press the enter key on it. It then might give you the option to open or save it. in most cases you would save it to some where easy to locate it on your pc. for example desktop. Then you would locate the add on press the enter key on it and say yes to it 2 times to install it.

Or the other way is while on the link, use the context key in either internet exploder or mozilla fire fox arrow down to either save target as in internet exploder or save link as in mozilla fire fox thenpress the enter key.

The dialogue box will come up so you can save the add on to your pc. Make sure you note where you are saving the add on to. for example the desk top, then locate it after it is on the desktop then press the enter key on it to install it.

say yes to it 2 times for it to be installed.

hope this helps.

hope this helps.

Main steps start on new lines.
Control n to open the NVDA menu.
Down arrow to preferences and press enter.  it's a submenu.
Down arrow to browse mode.  Press enter. Tab through the dialog.
The setting is a check box.  If it isn't checked, press the space bar and then enter.

If you change the setting and it works and you want to save the change, use the command control NVDA key c.

I doubt this will help but In browse mode settings in NVDA, see if the setting that tells NVDA to read page automatically when page loads is checked.  It is by default but if it isn't checked, checking it may solve the problem.

I'm not sure.  I don't think you specified what e-mail program you are using.  Also, are you reading mail as plain text or as HTML.

HI Gene,

When I opened this message it only read the first sentence.  Can this be changed?  Thanks,

When I open an e-mail message, even though my messages are read automatically, I manually issue the read to end command before or at the moment reading starts.  I find this more efficient in starting reading faster and avoiding material I don't want read.  I have already heard the subject line.  If I tell the message to be read manually, this material is not spoken again and the message body starts to be read.  You may have to experiment to see how long to wait before issuing the command after opening a message.

There are times when getting in the habit of manually issuing a command is superior to having something done automatically unless you know how to script a screen-reader to do exactly what you want it to do.  Issuing such a command will become automatic over time.

Sorry, but Windows Live Mail already does that...
And, a profil is only to set different configurations to an app or action...

What you want to achieve, if it is not already done, will need an
appmodule...

hi

That is good that you got them add ons installed.

If you are interested i have put together a blindness related website with both written and audio tutorials for the nvda screen reader.

They were done through the different version of nvda starting from i think 2012 and onwards. They are for the desk top for the commands and not done for a lap top unless it has a 101 keyboard.

The blindness related material plus the tutorials can be found at http://www.accessibilitycentral.net
they are the pages that relate to the nvda screen reader.

hope this helps learning different things with nvda.

They are also done step by step from a user, so they are easy to follow.

Hi Gene,

I’m sorry I didn’t reply sooner.  I was hit with hurricane Mathew and had to go to my sisters house.
I just can’t seem to get the ocr and place marker files downloaded.  I did as you suggested but, still no luck.
