When you press the enter key on the link it will take you up to the dropbox account. You might have to change modes from focus mode to browse mode. Go down the page you will hear the file name and there is a download button to get it. I think it was near the sign up link or under it.

Then it is a matter of saving it to your pc. It then play correctly for me in winamp etc.

Re: Finding in MS Word

Gene

When I see discussions of this sort, a question I always have is, what disadvantages may not be being discussed when using a method outside of the standard program.  In other words, for example, let's say you use browse mode in Word and use the NVDA find.  Does that move just the browse mode virtual cursor or does it move you in Word itself.  If the actual Word cursor is not moved, this would be a significant disadvantage when editing.  I haven't used Word to any extent in years and I don't know how well or not well the Word find command works.  But whenever some sort of special outside of the program means is used to do something, a question I always have is, what is being given up, if anything, when using this nonprogram command.  I am not assuming anything, but I seldom see this question discussed.

Re: Temporarily disabling AVG protection Correction

I suspect that using the Systray add on would allow right clicking in that dialog.  despite the insistence of purists, the system tray, when accessed directly doesn't work as well as when using the add on and I consider the add on to be a superior method of access.  I have seen one or two other applications that don't work properly when working with the system tray directly.

Hi Gene

Yes it’s the right click, left click does nothing and left double click invokes the same gui as using the desktop shortcut, where the temporary disablement feature is a bit more difficult to find.  I cannot get the AVG icon to respond to the applications key  either, which would remove the need for mouse access .  Most other icons in the Overflow Notifications Toolbar will respond to the Applications key which behaves like a right mouse click but unfortunately AVG does not.  I suspect the in-built event handlers do not cater for keyboard input.

Numpad star is a right click.  Are you saying that a right click should be used on the icon?  I want people to clearly understand the reason for your command choice.  It may matter in future when they want to use the mouse to right click something else in the system tray or elsewhere.

Gene is quite right The first keypress should be NVDA+Numpad / however the second keypress should not be Numpad / but Numpad * to invoke the Context menu. Apologies for the incorrect post.

The corrected steps are:

  1. Press Windows+b to move to the system tray.

2Press enter on the Notifications chevron button.

3 Use arrow keys to scroll the overflow notifications list until you locate the AVG anti-virus button.

4 Press NVDA+numpad / to move mouse focus to the AVG button

5 Press Numpad * to activate the AVG context menu (Note: i can’t get the Applications key to invoke the AVG context menu, hence the 2 step process)

6. ‘Temporarily disable AVG protection’ appears in the Context menu list.

When you activate the disable option, a dialog appears with various warnings about removeing protection and instructions about re-enabling it.  You can also set a timer to automatically re-enable protection after a certain time has elapsed.

All references to numpad 8 should be changed to numpad slash.  So to move mouse focus to the button, the command is numpad insert numpad slash.  To left click the mouse, the command is numpad slash
