Sarah, That site does seem to work, however to check the errors, it takes you to Grammarly and want to set that up - last time I tried that Grammarly itself was completely inaccessible, has it changed?

Re: Grammar checker

In Word itself, the only option I know of (which is accessible) is the inbuilt spelling and grammar checker. If you're willing to copy your text out, ProWritingAid has an accessible interface here:
https://prowritingaid.com/en/Account/Register2?returnUrl=%2Fen%2FAnalysis%2FEditor%3FscreenReaderFriendly%3Dtrue Note that it does have a Word plug-in, however last I checked, it, like others such as Grammarly, weren't accessible. If anyone finds anything else, I'd be interested to know. Kind regards Quentin.

Re: Toggle Passing Keys in NVDA?
Quentin Christensen
Brian and Sarah, You are both correct, my mistake, we'll just put that down to my inability to read :) Ok in that case, as you pointed out, NVDA doesn't have a command for that currently, but if someone would like to create an issue to articulate the use case, it is certainly something which could be considered. Quentin.

Re: NVDA Systematic Crash
Hi, The dmp file is a crash dump, which requires a debugger to parse what it is saying (as such, you cannot paste the contents of this file, otherwise it may become unreadable once a person with a debugger opens it as things can change while transmitting over the internet). A few questions:
Cheers, Joseph

Greetings,
I’ve recently switched laptops, and on this new one, NVDA crashes systematically at each restart, right at the beginning, after I type the pin on the lockscreen. Would any of our beloved experts be kind enough to assist me in, at least diagnosing, if not solving this?
A few more details: there are no errors in either nvda.Log or nvda-old.Log. On the other hand, there is a file in Temp named “nvda_crash.Dmp”, whose contents seems unreadable to humans, or at least non-specialists like me. Would it help if I pasted the contents of that file in an email here for someone able to decode it? Thank you very much in advance, grateful regards.
Vlad.

Re: Looking For Older Version of NVDA
David,
All of the historical NVDA releases, including the various betas and release candidates, are available via the Releases page for the NVDA GitHub. See: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/releases However, I'll be darned if I can find a way to download the compiled version of the installer, which I could have sworn was possible. All I'm seeing is the source code as a ZIP file or tarball. Unfortunately, I've deleted my installer or I'd have passed it along to you. I have often wondered why NVAccess does not host a library of previous versions of NVDA. There are times where one might want something other than the current release. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Science has become just another voice in the room; it has lost its platform. Does NV Access run an FTP server with old NVDA releases just as Mozilla does for archived versions of their software? -- David Goldfield, Blindness Assistive Technology Specialist JAWS Certified, 2019 WWW.DavidGoldfield.org

Re: Grammar checker
This thread is so fragmented. The most accessible grammar and spell checker you will find is the one built into word. Get Microsoft Office 365. None, and I do mean this. None, of the third party offerings are accessible or worth your money. None of them. Microsoft 365 is your best option, especially with a screen reader. Robert Kingett. Intriguing, but not enough for me to click on a URL that seems very unfamiliar. If this is truly useful information, can we have it added to nvaccess or the maling list WIKI?

Re: Spelling error in word 2016
Are you using the optional browse mode in Microsoft Word documents (and this appears to be on by default, as I don't remember turning it on? If so, and you know that you've activated browse mode instead of focus mode (NVDA+spacebar toggles) the single letter navigation W will take you to words identified as misspelled. (See section 6 of the NVDA user guide.)
