Hi,
eSpeak NG: Not that I now of (except for new voices).
Windows XP support: yes, NVDA still supports XP, provided that you are using Service Pack 2 or higher. NV Access will eventually ask you to upgrade to Service Pack 3 at some point.
Cheers,
Joseph

may i ask you that does this new version support windows xp?
i read whats new and realised that added visual studio 2015 to this version.
i am afraid of unsupporting of windows xp!
and my second question is about espeak ng.
does have any significant and prominent changes in compare to the original espeak versions specially for english and farsi?
thanks extremely again and allah bless you.

Hi everyone,

Yes, indeed the RC1 is out. Featuring spelling error sounds,
recognition of grammar errors and more, there's something for
everyone in this update.

The post from NV access can be found at:

http://www.nvaccess.org/post/nvda-2016-2rc1-released/

Note: This is a release candidate. If everything goes as planned,
the official version will be out by next week.

Also, an audio tutorial on what's new in NVDA 2016.2 has been posted.
The

direct link is:

Note that this might be last What's New tutorial (unless people say
I should continue to produce these). Enjoy.

I use Calibre (and I'll caveat that by saying I do have enough site to use the mouse as well as the keyboard).

It actually has keyboard shortcuts for most things but they're not as obvious to find as they could be.  Here's a page with some: https://www.shortcutworld.com/en/win/Calibre.html

And here's the official manual: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/

I haven't tried Codex that Kevin suggested, but just did a search and this looks like it: http://jscholes.net/project/codex/

Kind regards

Quentin.

When I try, I get a link to go to somewhere and an embedded object
unavailable, and that is it. the link does nothing at all. This is in

I tested below mentioned link by Brian but no luck nor to play it from here. on the Firefox version 46.0.1 and currently using the 2016.2 RC of nvda as well. I used either the work around by playing embedded object of nvda plus slash and slash alone but does not load. I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Hi, is anyone able to help me play this webinar?
http://slides.nfinite.com/slides/slideViewer.php?eventID=83910171&downloadEnable=1
I'm told there's a circle with a play button in the middle that I have to click on, but it seems to be unreachable with NVDA.
Please help if you can, the webinar is only available for 48 hours.

From what I've seen so far, the browser version with NVDA works pretty
well, just have to move quite a bit through the pages, as there can
sometimes be a great deal on each page. There is also a pretty neat IOS
APP too, if you're interested.
Take care.

How well does the web site work with NVDA?

Re: CAn anyone get this webinar to play?

Quentin Christensen

In Chrome I got it to play by pressing down arrow until it said "star", then pressing NVDA+num pad divide (laptop: NVDA+shift+m) to move the mouse to the current navigator object, then pressing num pad divide (laptop NVDA+[) to click the left mouse button and activate it that way.

I did have trouble with it in Internet Explorer - that method didn't work there as moving the mouse to the navigator object put it in a different place which wasn't over the clickable area...
