want to install NVDA in our office in india

Aravind R

dear friends,

i'm aravind from chennai, india.
we want to install NVDA officially inside our government offices india.
for personal purposes, NVDA is free and need not be an authorised software.
but, our companies require an official authorised copy of NVDA sold
through DVDs etc exactly like how jaws is purchased.
is there any way we can guide our banks to obtain an official copy of
NVDA friends?

More on google drive installation

Brian's Mail list account BY <bglists@...>

It seems that google drive has had an update in the last few days causing this log in screen not to work with nvda. I surmise this as I just took another xp machine and installed it and the same problem occurs. Unfortunately, the installer is a stub, which downloads the main installer and hence there is no choice to download the earlier one that worked
The program seems to be written in Python, and the offending screen is labelled as WX web view.
The stuff on this can be seen by narrator, but it just reads it like a load of text and no keyboard interaction appears to be possible. Its obviosly not triggering the virtual buffer in nvda which marks it as web content so the only way I'll be able to log in for the first time seems to be by connecting monitors to the machines and inviting a mouse user to do it.
Does anyone here know if this problem has been reported to google?

Re: Blogging with NVDA

Hmmm I have never used blogspot but it is blogger and thats google.
I have used a lot of blogs including livejournal and wordpress is the one I use.
wordpress.com helps a lot
wordpress.com/wp-admin is good to open your blog after you make it and then m.wordpress.com will work to make a post in an accessible format.
www.wordpress.org is good for you if you want a blog.
wordpress is actually quite a cool bit of junk.

Yeah I had to revert the espeak data and that works on 7 and 8 but on 10 I have to hold down alt c to continue past admin because you can't aparently select all.

that the normal rate sounds too slow...

I am just used to it fast.

Can you give me a sense of what messages you want going into which folders?  Essentially you have to be able to define what puts which messages where to create filters.

I'm eager to learn how to generate add-ons for NVDA! I have
experience programming computer software using several programming
languages, but, no experience with Python. I have downloaded and
installed Python version 2.7 and I am currently working my way
through the tutorial included with that package. I see that code
blocks are discriminated solely through the indentation of code lines.

Can you recommend a text editor that is Python-friendly and
accessable with NVDA? BTW, I don't use Braille, if that makes a
difference.

Another thing: When I went to

https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda

I was unable to figure out how to download NVDA source code (git
clone
-recursive)

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi everyone,

Session 0 (overview) from Your First NVDA App Module course is now
available:

http://www.nvda-kr.org/files/nvdaAppMod0.mp3

Also, session 1 (app module introduction) will be held on June 25,
2016 at
11 AM Pacific (18:00 UTC) at NVDACon Korea TeamTalk Server
(nvda-kr.org).
You need TT5 (be sure to install TT5 Classic client) and enter the
following server information:

* URL: nvda-kr.org

* TCP: 10333

* UDP: 10333

* No username or password required.

* Channel will be root (nvdachat).

If you are interested in learning to write app modules, please think
about an app you feel an app module could be useful by session 1.
For those who'd like to use this opportunity as a stepping stone for
contributing to NVDA Core development, please checkout NVDA source
code (git clone -recursive
https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda) as we'll be using app modules in
there as examples. For people not interested in coding, don't worry
- a backstage tour will be provided to show you how app modules work
behind the scenes.
For those who cannot make it, audio recordings of each session will
be provided shortly after the session ends.

P.S. If you know anyone in your language community who'd like to
write app modules, please feel free to invite them. Also, other app
module experts are more than welcome to chime in their expertise
during course sessions.

See you on June 25th.

Cheers,

Joseph

Rosemarie,

This question is somewhat unanswerable, as we'd need to know:

  1. Where they're going now, if not to your inbox.
  2. If you are using multiple devices, or multiple e-mail clients to access your messages.
  3. Whether you are using POP or IMAP or, perhaps, POP in one client and IMAP in the other.

There are a number of variables involved regarding where something might land.

First, try this.
1. control NVDA s.

If that didn't work, press CTRL+NVDA+r 3 times quickly. This will reset

go to %appdata% and delete the nvda folder. then start nvda all addons and so on will be gone but it should get you up and running. it is a bit drastic but maybe you could have a portable version running and have a look at the nvda that is on your box, it might be just as well to do as I first said you will need to reinstall any addons that you had before.

Hi, everyone,

I'm still having a problem with thunderbird. It's acting up even in the
inbox. I don't know what else to do now. I've tried restarting NVDA but
that still doesn't solve the problem. Should I restart the computer?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: helpung setting back my synthesizer

Thank you so much Tyler.
I'm up and working again.
I've even got nvda coming out of my computer internal speakers, and system access and all other sounds coming out of my external speakers and subwoofer.
Course i picked that, i just felt the need to mention it here.
Now if i could get chicken nugget to work correctly but i think i am going to have to reinstall windows before that happens.
Anyway, thanks again.

Original message:

You switch back the same way you switched.
First, try this.
1. control NVDA s.
2. Wait a few seconds.
3. Press e.
4. Press enter.
That will try to select the first thing that starts with e.
If that didn't work, press CTRL+NVDA+r 3 times quickly. This will reset
your configuration to factory defaults.

Re: getting all the messages from other lists to come to the inbox

Hi

There is but you must setup seperate email accounts. I have 4 setup here
using thunderbird and even though they are seperate accounts they are
very easy to navigate just like the first email account.
