Sounds like a good place. Telling it off the top of my head. Cannot
check it on the machine I am writing now.
But, getting back to my oryginal problem: how can we turn off reading
item possition in the Intelisense popup? And then hearing all th etime
the window title when we leave the popup after picking the function /
whatever object...?

Hi Group,

I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem. When I visit the
below web page on the Creative Laqs site, I get oddities with the prices
for the various products. For example, many of the prices are
ridiculously high such as $16999 for a set of small portable speakers.
When examining it closely, it seems these figures are deleting a decimal
point and replacing it with the first digit after the decimal point. So
the above example should actually read $16.99. This has happened a
number of times over the years. Here is the page.

Unfortunately i don't have that file, you can ask for it on eyes free group, think someone can provide it there

addresses are gmail addresses and I did not receive duplicate
messages when I did testing with receiving individual e-mail
messages. I have just changed my subscription to individual
e-mail messages and will reply via e-mail to this one and see what
happens.

If that were the case we would all see it though, surely?

It is a bit of a mystery, unless there is something odd going on in the set up of that particular Google account as I know you can do fancy things like redirect email to and from accounts, it made me wonder if something odd had been set accidentally to do with emails from this list?

hello, Cindy!

There is nothing wrong about with google gmail account that you've been using. It just that the mailing list was intended to create this type of duplicating messages you've been experiencing right now. Or, I may say it was pretty something into a technical routing for receiving that was setup into the EO listing server perhaps.

Well, if it is google, then they only have a problem with this list and not the other 12 email listservs I am on.

Like Gene said, it is not my messages that are the problem (though they are also being duplicated).

Well, as I say, it sounds like its Google mail. If you look at the list email does it seem that its actually coming from you not the list?

I guess a look at the message source might give a reason. its hard to advise
without seeing the messages. it has to be something in the email software
being used to receive messages or we would all have the problem.

Yes where was the accessibility testing on this I wonder. Everybody spouts that they are committed to this, but if that were the case it shows very slipshod quality control procedures.

Oh dear! That is dangerous! What if someone who updates it does not see at all? And, has no sighted help? I’d say don’t update facebook app in the windows store. I wonder if someone has to go to Microsoft with that problem?

Subject: [nvda] The accessibility of the Facebook app for Windows 10 got completely broken after its last update

Hello all,

Up until tonight, I was happily using the Facebook app for Windows 10 to access Facebook. I saw that there was an update for it in the Windows Store and thinking that it probably got some exciting new features to try out, I've updated it. And boy, did I got disappointed. Yes, exciting new features to try out probably it has (as far as I could see from its interface change). But its accessibility was completely broken after the update. Before that, I could with a hand on my heart easily say that the Facebook app for Windows 10 was one of the most accessible apps in the Windows 10 Store (apart the ones from Microsoft that is). But after today's update, it is no longer so. Neither NVDA or Narrator can read anything in the app when it is opened. Actually, only thanks to my residual sight I was able to login with my Facebook account into the app in the first place - even that part is not accessible.

My question is. Does some of you know how can we contact the Facebook accessibility team, so we can tell them about this issue? I've tried to send feedback via the form on this web page:
https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/169372943117927
But each time I try to submit the form, I get the following error message:

Your request cannot be processed
There was a problem with this request. We're working on getting it fixed as soon as we can.
Close

Note, that I'm not looking for an alternative way to access Facebook - I can work with the Facebook desktop site if needs be. I just want the accessibility in the Facebook app for Windows 10 to be fixed, so I can resume using it with pleasure as I did before. So that is why I'm looking for a way to contact the Facebook accessibility team.

Best wishes,

Not being a facebook user I would not know about the rest of your query, but maybe somebody on a more mainstream accessibility group or listmight have a contact at the company who design it. ods are its been written by some other lot to the original.

@Pete,

Yes, but the required MS Visual C++ redistributables are bundled with the LibreOffice installer.

If not already present on the system they will be installed. Remember to do the installation --"run as administrator" and you should have no issues.
