Re: NVDA skype group

My view is that we should have groups on as many networks as we can.
Especially if they are free.
The only thing I am not a fan of is group calls on skype, I did have skype up yesterday but I was working on something else, usually its only up when I want to have it up but whatever.
At least I know if I want to chat I can.

Hi!
Thanks for your prompt reply, Antony. I'll keep the list below so that I
don't forget all those useful email addresses for managing my list
subscription.
Bye for now to everyone, and looking forward to returning to this list after

You can send an email to nvda+help@nvda.groups.io (no subject or body
content is necessary) and it will send you back a summary of the commands
you can use by email.

Here are the ones which would be useful for your vacation setting:

To receive plain digests send an email to:
nvda+digest@nvda.groups.io

To receive full featured digests send an email to:
nvda+fulldigest@nvda.groups.io

To receive individual messages instead of digests, send an email to:
nvda+single@nvda.groups.io

To stop receiving messages via email, send an email to:
nvda+nomail@nvda.groups.io

Obviously you need to send these from the address you're subscribed to the
list from, so it knows who you are.

Regards,

Antony.

Just my preference, I don't care for the "natural" sounding

As I said yesterday, the e-mail client has nothing to do with this problem.  I am not getting any duplicates and since there has been little discussion from others saying that they are receiving duplicates, we have no reason to believe this is generally occurring.  E-mail lists generally work well with e-mail clients.

Robert,

Well, I set up the e-mail account I used to send the prior two messages via e-mail in Outlook 2010 as well.  This is the first one coming from Outlook.

What I’m beginning to wonder if this is the result of the original poster not displaying her e-mail messages in the format known as threaded or conversation view.  When I have the display in message view, instead of conversation view, in Outlook I have scads of messages with the same subject, but they’re not really duplicates, it’s the ongoing back and forth.  If I use conversation view they remain bundled together.

Let’s see if anything odd occurs once I send this one from Outlook.

The other thing you can do, if you use them often, is add the bookmark option to the quick access toolbar:

press alt+n, z, l as before, but instead of pressing "k" to open the bookmark dialog, press tab until you get to bookmarks in the ribbon, then press the applications key to bring up the context menu, choose add to quick access toolbar.

You can then press alt+number to access it in future (alt+1 for the first option, save by default, alt+2 for the second, undo, etc).
