Hi Lino! I'm glad it worked for you! However, it didn't work for me! I know flash works on other t.v channels that are available for me. But not Jolene's.

Lino! You're better off to try her channels! I did and they are not available in my area! I can't confirm her problem all the way because I reside in Canada! I'm 3 hours ahead of her. I don’t know what time zone you are on. I'm on Pacific!

Hi, do you have IE on your laptop computer? Is your flash player up to date? That may be your problem. I'm using windows 7. Have you updated adobbyplayer? I'll try it with my 7 box. If it doesn't work for me. it may be because I'm in Canada. Some t.v channels in America don’t work for me because I'm in Canada.

Hi list. Sorry the latest build for Itunes is broken for windows. However, it may not be for everybody! Yes Itunes is doable for windows. If you want to use it go for it. If you find its buggy then write to apple and state what’s wrong. They will try to fix your problems. For those who feel they can’t manage using Itunes. Then just uninstall it! if you like using it on your windows computer all the world to you.

Re: how to set nvda auto read
Quentin Christensen
Having pressed NVDA+down arrow (or laptop: NVDA+a) to read from the current point onwards, you can press control, to stop NVDA from speaking. You need to press NVDA+down arrow or NVDA+a to restart from the start of the current line / element to keep reading. If you press shift to pause speech (note that works with some synthesizers, such as eSpeak, but not all synthesizers), you can press shift to restart reading, although if you have used the arrow keys to navigate around the document in the meantime, you will need to press NVDA+down arrow or NVDA+a to restart reading from where you currently are. Kind regards Quentin.

Re: making a suggestion for nvda
Quentin Christensen
Hi Scott, The official place for filing requests and bugs is our little corner of GitHub: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues Ideally also search to see if the issue has already been filed. If you'd like some feedback on the idea first then absolutely raise it here and we can have a conversation about it and get it filed. I can and do file issues myself, although the advantage in you filing it is that if more information is needed or clarification on something, it's easy to ask. Kind regards Quentin.

Hello, i'd like to know how to make a suggestion that I feel is a good idea for a future release.
I don't know enough programming stuff to know how easy or not this would be, but still I think it is a wonderful idea. Thank you Scott

Re: Saving NVDA Configuration Settings
Kenny Dog <hurrikennyandopo@...>
Hi Jolene.
I am using windows 10 on all of my machines and donot have this problem when saving a configuration. Out of curosity what synth package are you using? It may be a buggy add on doing it if that is the case you might be able to disable them and see if you can save your configuration after that..Is there a dialogue box still open when you go to save your settings? I am aware there is a buggy synth add on that will do that. If so does it still do it if you say change to the E speak syth package?
At the worst it may be a good idea to reset nvda back to factory defaults and this will usually fix the problem. Some times if that does not do it then a complete uninstall of nvda plus the section under %appdata% and the nvda folder taken out will usually do the trick, but I don't think you would have to go that far.

Can someone turn me on to some info on nvda scripting. I would like to create a simple script that just passes keystrokes to it. Like tab and some ctrl key combinations. I have created the script in jaws, but would like to learn to do the same in nvda as the person I am helping does not have jaws. Thanks so much Rich

Re: Saving NVDA Configuration Settings
Jolene, I don't have any definitive answer, but suggest you either uninstall then reinstall NVDA 2016.1 or else do an "install over" install of NVDA 2016.1 again. This sounds like one of those weird, "something didn't go right" with the install NVDA itself, much like I've seen on occasion with JAWS, and typically reinstalling makes the problem go away. Never underestimate the difficulty of changing false beliefs by facts. ~ Henry Rosovsky

Saving NVDA Configuration Settings
Jolene Cardenas
Hello everyone,
For those of you who use NVDA with Windows 10, I have a question to ask you: Why do you think NVDA won't allow me to save my new configuration settings whenever I change them and then attempt to save them? I'm asking because I'd get an error message from NVDA that would read, "Could not save configuration, probably because read-only file system." I never had this problem when I was using Windows 7, yet I run in to it all the time now in Windows 10. I thank you in advance for your feedback, and have a good day. sincerely, Jolene.
