Re: NVDA and Itunes 12.4.0.119
I agree on backup, had an issue where a owner of a large server was having issues with it and his workstation that came off it.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
He brought both newer units and I put them online. All went well and good, I transfered his dieing workstation to his server and it was fine later on he said he suddenly had issues with starting the server and it was running slowly. Unknown to all of us the main supply had developed a slow burn. So when it came to me to get things at first it wouldn't turn on. He took it back to where we got the system from and they opened it up, the first thing they saw was the main supply on fire, the raid controler wasn't going to tolerate a power unit on fire at any stretch so never started things. Thats all fine and good, but the drives were not fully backed up. And were crypto locked. Thats fine but with the psu gone part of that lock sort of required the drive in that machine to access it. I had only just had my own near data loss experience but even so if I had known I could have helped. So the drive had to be taken to get recovered and since we didn't have the cash me and the owner it was decided by the server people that they would recover the locked data as they were confident that all the data was locked on the drive and that they could decrypt it. It just would take several weeks to decrypt it byte by byte. Its been 2 months and we are finally making progress. Ofcause there is no knowing what the state the files will be in. I know how that may feel as when I recovered on a bad drive I got file names but no content what so ever. And in fact if I hadn't immediately gone to one of my slow drives I wouldn't have got any data back. Fortunately all critical data is cloud backed on severl clouds, onedrive, google, and dropbox. Even so they lost a major mail database which while anoying is not a big issue. Sadly we lost the 8gb of the workstation backup to but we will see. Its likely when we get it back that even if its undammaged all the indexes will be gone and such. I have backed up drives myself so thats fine. My dad has a couple cryptolocked units with smart security passwords, the trick is remembering the keys. I can for the most part he can't. I really should get installed a password manager into the security on all units I work with and have a master but I have never got round to that.

I agree. I read audio books a lot, but I will not download them from iTunes anymore. It is too much of a pain to put them back if you take them off your device for some reason.
Has anyone had trouble playing music from iCloud? I don't own apple music, but I've still got access to iCloud. However, for the passed few weeks, if I click on certain songs, it give me the option to buy them again. I don't know whether it charges my account if I click buy or not, but it's still annoying. Hopefully, NVDA 2016.2 will make it more accessable. On another subject, is Amazon music any beter?

Hello,
I tried this program as well on my Windows 10-based laptop with NVDA, and it was so inaccessible that I uninstalled it after a few days. Go to the messages list, move object cursor with NVDA numpad 4
(control NVDA left arrow in laptops) to the first object, that is
"list" (lista in spanish for me) move the object navigation down
with NVDA numpad 2 (NVDA control down arrow in laptops) and you will
be placed in the colums with object cursor. Now, if you press NVDA /
the mouse will be placed in the columns and in theory you will can
see the mouse pointer in the headers (I can't confirm this).

If people want to have these sorts of not even

Arianna & mk, Thanks to you both. I'll play a little more but I'm still stuck, and part of that may be because I see and don't have the mental mapping for "where to drop" as it should be. I can't figure out, if all one is trying to do is move a column to the left of where it is, you know how you're at the correct "to the left" position for the drop. When you can literally see this the whole "drag and drop" operation makes instant sense, but that's because it's almost entirely driven by being able to see it. I'll have to play more to see what I can come up with. If I can get focus on the actual column headers under Thunderbird that will be a major achievement!
