Edge isn't fully accessible. Why not use a
different browser until Microsoft finally makes Edge fully
accessible.

Subject: [nvda] browsing with edge, and finding links that aren't
links Hi listers ken here have a vexing problem. on two local radio
stations namely WOLD-lp, and WMGQ in NJ I can’t seem to find the listen
live. on WOLD the problem is simpler. the listen live appears as a
heading, but not as a link, clickable graphic or button just the words listen
live. this is the only way to listen to the station without tunein radio
since they have change from a winamp based stream to a flash based popup
player. they have changed stream providors. what must they do to
make there stream appear as a link and not just the words listen live?
then on Magic 98.3 the problem is even stranger. in order to listen to all
greater-media owned stations you must register for their listener clubs.
in the case of magic 98.3 additionally you are only able to listen to them if
you live in NJ, Pa area. same with active rock station WDHA in dover
NJ. must assume the same condition is true with WRAT the jersey shore
based rocker. I have tried on three different browsers to log into the
station and the listen live is nowhere. no button, no links, no
graphics. there are listen links connected to interviews/features but not
the stream. didn’t try the word play but no play buttons exist then just
now using the edge browser with NVDA clearly hit the letter f found the edit
field, but when entered the stupid site thought Oh you searched for your email
address, sorry no such thing. so edge is obviously out since NVDA can’t
seem to focus on the right edit field. so my question is this, how do I
advise the webmasters of both radio stations? especially magic 98.3 since
I’m technically a music club member? the websites for both are
www.woldradio.com for oldies 107.9 and www.magic983.com for WMGQ. perhaps
someone with partial sight can advise on this one. is it a fix on my end
possibly?

Hi,

I used something called Electronic Piano, though I have no idea of its website or much of the program either. I had installed it and played it just sometimes for fun. The major problem is fthat the musical note is played after a noticeable delay after the corresponding key press. Anyways, I am satisfied with my real-life guitar... Just wondering, does Sweet Little Piano provide the ability to record what is played? That would be something fun. Thanks.

Hi Peter,
This is definitely an Edge issue. Use Internet Explorer or Firefox. I was able to locate all the links and activate them. Firefox with NVDA identified them as clickable, but when you press enter on such clickable items in Firefox 47.02, they are activated.

I have to tab to most links in order to click on them. Buttons work fine, but I can't click on links without tabing to them.

Re: [NVDA]Amazon

NVDA minus has nothing to do with moving focus of
the virtual cursor used in browse mode. It moves focus of the NVDA
navigator. pressing enter has nothing to do with the navigator. It
clicks on the location of the virtual cursor in browse mode. If you are
arrowing or using quick navigation keys, if there is a problem with code on the
page, you may not be on the link. We don't know, from the message if the
user is just about at the link or has to tab a lot of times to get to the
link. We know so little about the problem thatg commenting in detail is
not possible.
Gene
If you are navigating any web page using quick keys or arrow keys, you are not necessarily focused on the link currently being read. Try pressing NVDA+Numpad minus to move focus, then press enter to activate the link. When you use the tab key to navigate, you are actually moving focus so having tabbed to a link, pressing enter will activate it. Hi Chris

You can try the following while you are in the web page make sure you are focused in it, use the nvda key + the letter V It sounds like you have use screen layout turned on and this will put text on one line and say a link on another. You will need to turn it off, so they are both on the same line. You should hear it spoken when it is off. the same setting can be found under the browse moode settings and just untick the box that says use screen layout when supported. the shortcut way is quicker. hope this solves your problem. Hi Kenny
From my NVDA tutorials for other programs page there is a link to it. It is at the top of the programs list. You can jump down by heading to it. It is just above the netflix tutorial. The link to this page is http://www.accessibilitycentral.net/nvda%20tutorials%20for%20other%20programs.html
As long as there site does not go down, you should be able to go to it. This is the one with both windows 7 and 10 stuff. Hope this helps. Gene nz 20/05/2016 2:30 PM, Kenny Peyattt jr. wrote:
