Well at least skype desktop I can get used to.

On the outlook front, I used hotmail in outlook express but never liked it much it was a student thing. I stayed with my isp which itself was allied with microsoft but went to yahoo. Just before that though my dad's work meant we had to get gmail addresses for the cloud services. And I am happy I did. The only issue with google bar the privacy things which by the way I am more than willing to overlook is the toolbar which can get easily uninstalled. Google has a lot more services, and while they may take control of your life, system and privacy, they outway this by adding more services. I mean android, the gps and maps, the cloud storage and the photos. Never mind the search and the fact that some bits of mozilla stuff is based off their crome engine which aparently while like ms they keep breaking is starting to work. A strength google has that ms hasn't that bar our information and privacy and identities google has not demanded any payment for most of its services bar services for businesses including translation and business cloud services and a few other things to increase storage and translations and a few other things. Generally though the major services are free ones even for casual users, and heck if my privacy is worth that much to them they can have all of it for what I get in return. Yahoo would be my second choice but its antispam system unlike google's just never gets on with me and there are some issues on the isp that uses it now with attachments not downloading over 200kb in size. Worse its had several breaches here in new zealand that while had been resolved in other places never got done right here. Then there is microsoft. Msn messenger and windows messenger were the bitg things when I started. And heck their ms account is not that bad, however with the latest windows 8 and 10 oses they have started making it a challenge not to get frustraited with them. The cortana is one thing, the worse thing is converting local to ms without anyy care what the users wanted. I have people that use outlook.com via the web and thats fine. I however am happy I pulled out of ms when I did. They are good as a company but bar skype I am happy I stayed away from a lot of their so called services. Ofcause it doesn't help that for a long time business interests are what ms has been geard to the home and gaming users are on the side. Heck if google sold info to the highest bidder I guess I'd still use them as long as I got no trouble. I also like companies that do things with no strings and that are stable. I havn't seen google crash more than a couple times. The only problem I have had once was when the australia nz link had a data centre drive failier and that slowed down everything till info was rerouted and it was fixed quickly enough. I am not sure exactly if this is true but google has put everyone equal, it started as a consumer company and has largely stayed the same. I do think microsoft should follow example here. If they removed all the crazy restrictions in the last couple years which is all they have to do by the way I could live with it. Instead I have to hold off upgrades till the last possible moment or something to hope I can get in then try to make it up as I go along till the next twist of the screw. However, since 90% of pc users basically use it and its most common os its not like you can say bugger it and run away. And even if I was one of the minority htat did on my own terms it wouldn't mean I could leave it entirely for admin purposes. And to be hones to stay familiar with something even if you don't like it you need to actively use it to continue. Saying this windowslive has been on the dieing train for a number of months now and its no secret. I have had to remove it from most of the systems that had it on because it slowed down things. And lets face it,ms don't own the space anymore.

Suggestion to moderators
Brian's Mail list account BY <bglists@...>
Could it be possible that this list only sends out plain text versions of emails sent to it. I'm a bit worried that the scam Outlook mail which was forwarded here referred to an active X control via its html portion. OK so most of us probably blocked this, but it seems to me that this should not be allowed to occur on a list where beginners might be around reading the messages.
This is a security issue in my opinion, and I do not know what other email clients might do when this control is requested, seeing as I have no idea if its a benign one or malicious. code factory addons
Isaac <bigikemusic@...>
Hi, to the moderators of the list,
why do you allow and advertise the codefactory addon if it is so buggy.
Many have complained, and no answers have been given. Just about everyone
who has bought the addon has complained of sound crackling, and I have a super
complaint. When I install the addon it kills my other vocalizer addon, and
removes it from the synthesizer list. Are you guys just not giving a care
because you get 10% of the sale, or what. People spend good money for a
voice and they expect it to work. I appreciate nvda and the work put in to
it, it works great, but these people are slow to respond to tickets, and if you
call them during over-seas business hours, the tech support team says they will
open a trouble ticket and plays dumb like the issue hasn't hardly been

Re: Feature request: List of clickable elements in Elements List dialog and single letter navigation for clickable elements
Brian's Mail list account BY <bglists@...>
I think something like this has been suggested before, but the term clickable covers a multitude of objects not just one type such as a link. Would it perhaps be better to combine it with links list and have the ones that are clickable either before or after or mixed in with as regards their position?

But, as a result of these changes, Windows Live Mail will no longer be able to sync with outlook.com. You will be offered some alternatives for your email including: Using the Mail app in Windows 8.1 or 10. Using the outlook.com website. Or, Downloading and installing a free one year subscription to Office 365 Personal, which contains Outlook 2016. I did have Office 365 Personal for awhile, and it did not include Outlook as I remember. The other thing about this email, is that it was sent from the email address: email2@outlook.office.com, which just looks suspicious to me, it should be from either Windows or Outlook.com. I called Microsoft support to have them check this email out, and sure enough, they came back saying that there is no such email address associated with Microsoft in any way, and that the links within the email are not linked to a Microsoft site. “This is definitely a scam email”. Should you receive an email of this sort, please call Microsoft Accessibility Support before deleting it. They took a copy of the email plus an image of the actual links that were in the message which were labeled in a misleading manner. Michael

Outlook.com keyboard shortcuts
Hi all, After some Googling around, I came across this. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/outlook/keyboard-shortcuts This Microsoft support page lists the available keyboard shortcuts in Outlook.com, so this should help any of you who are concerned about the inability to use WLM2012 after June. I know change like this is a pain, but...let's face it we all have been through such change. Remember the time when Microsoft announced that it will discontinue Windows Live Messenger? I'm sure many of you have the same feeling of not wanting to change to Skype, but...what can we do when we don't much of a voice...

Luckily I only have one hotmail account. To me this smacks of centre of the universe syndrome. Best advice seems to be to use another email provider of free emails with eirher a better online interface or still uses pop3 and any old email client. I use Outlook express and I suspect a lot still do from looking at headers of emails I see here. If they are going to make a bespoke system they cshould publish how it works so third parties can emulate the protocol on their clients in my view, or expect to be left behind by the m leaving of people who do not want things t change for changes sake. brian bglists@blueyonder.co.uk Sent via blueyonder. Action required for users of Windows Live Mail 2012 Dear User, Earlier this year we introduced a new Outlook.com that will help you collaborate with others, focus on what matters, and get more done. The new Outlook.com delivers an exciting set of new experiences across web, phone, and desktop, and we’re eager for you to start using it. It appears that you are currently using Windows Live Mail 2012 to connect to your Outlook.com account. Windows Live Mail 2012 does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outlook.com. When account upgrades begin at the end of June, you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your Outlook.com account in Windows Live Mail 2012. Rest assured, you can always access your email by logging into Outlook.com from any web browser, and you will continue to have access to all your data that is currently in Windows Live Mail 2012. If you currently use Windows Live Mail 2012, we recommend that you switch to the Mail app in Windows today. The Mail app is built in to Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10, and has a more modern design. To begin using it, simply launch the app and add your Outlook.com account. If you are using Windows 7, you can upgrade to a newer version of Windows to enjoy the Mail app and the other benefits. If you do not wish to upgrade, you can access your account via a web browser, or, you can take advantage of a free one-year subscription of Office 365 Personal, and use Outlook 2016 to connect to your account.* This Office 365 subscription also includes other productivity applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel. It works on Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 10. Please take action before June 30th, 2016, which is when we’ll begin upgrading accounts that currently use Windows Live Mail 2012. If you have more questions, please find answers to common FAQs in this help article, or you can contact Microsoft support. We recognize that changes like this can be difficult, and apologize for any inconvenience this causes you. We hope that you’ll enjoy the benefits of moving to the new Outlook.com.
