i am not sure, because currently i have firefox 45 on my system. and, nvda 2017.3 is the best version of nvda for me! even nvda 2017.2 is very great, and has everythings that i need. but i guess that your issue maybe related to one of these issues on github. https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/10707 or, https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/pull/9672

What I did notive when visiting that page, using firefox 74, was that it firstly asked for me for permission to know my location, and then to show notifications - both os those might keep hold of focus until dismissed, and, then it seemed to have opened a form of in-page dialogue asking me to subscribe to a corona newsletter, but, when I activated the close button, then it returned to the article mentioned in the page title.

Re: question regard review cursor.
Quentin Christensen
The Basic Training for NVDA has an entire chapter on the review cursor, followed by one on object navigation (the two concepts go hand in hand). As it happens, the chapter on the review cursor is the one which is available for free to give you a taste of what the whole module is like. You can download it here:
https://www.nvaccess.org/product/basic-training-for-nvda-ebook/ (That's the link to the shop to purchase the module, look for the link for the sample chapter). The module is also available in audio: https://www.nvaccess.org/product/basic-training-for-nvda-downloadable-audio/ (and there is a sample of the audio as well) and also in Braille:
https://www.nvaccess.org/product/basic-training-for-nvda-braille-hard-copy/ (no sample for the Braille as it is hardcopy shipped to you, not downloadable like the others). Kind regards Quentin.

Hi david
could I link to those files in a page I am putting together?
I was not aware of them until you posted them.
If I can then I will also put it into a page where they can get it from etc etc so it makes it easier for people to find.

Hi Brian
I have been looking at the dates and if they are old dates those ones seem not to work unless it has a much later date.
for example tip of the day shows on the main part of the add on website and also under the under development but will not work with nvda 2019.3

Hi
It might not of been updated to work with the latest version of nvda. I just remember a problem a while back like that he mentioned doing that and am pretty sure it was that add on. Some people have not come up to the latest version of nvda yet because some of there add ons will not work with it.

I think the golden cursor does some thing like that. I know it can do hot points like in a scanner program I had the graphics had a picture or graphic so you could as it was only accessed with a mouse put it on the graphic do a hot point for it you could do a few for other areas as well then wen you went into the app use the elements list go to the one you want and the mouse would go to that area then I could use it. Best bet is give it a whirl and see if that does the trick. You can also move the mouse with arrow keys etc. The link to the page where you can get it from is https://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/goldenCursor.en.html Gene nz

Re: Scan mode in NVDA?
I should have said, New Issues are . . . in the last message. You do have to activate the button for a new issue if you don't find one already available, and then you have to designate that issue as either a Bug Report or a Feature Request.

Do I file a pull request? No. Pull requests are for coders. The GitHub Issues Page for NVDA is: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues Issues are broken into two distinct types: bug reports and feature requests, with a separate button for each category. Always search in the issues page first using a couple of keywords specific to your feature request, as there may very well already be one. If one exists, you can add a comment to it as well as read what has gone on with it since it was originally created. In fact, a search I did just now using "scan mode" for open issues returned this in the list: new functionality give nvda function similar to nvarrador's scan mode There might be others, as I didn't keep on looking through the list. You (any you) really do not want to create a new feature request if one already exists, as it just makes more work for those managing these to merge them together. One request, regardless of how many people want it, should have only one feature request associated with it. Add a comment if you feel the need. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Power is being told you're not loved and not being destroyed by it. ~ Madonna

Thanks! I'm not sure how I missed that add on because I get RSS alerts for any new thing NV Access puts out or the community add on puts out. Great add on! I still think the scan mode should be merged into NVDA core at some point. Is this add on registered with add on updater?

First, where do we submit feature requests, not bugs. Do we submit a pull request? The feature I find using most often, ironically, isn't even an NVDA feature. I use Narrator's scan mode to actually get to inaccessible controls and otherwise for various reasons. I get it that we have object navigation and the review cursor and otherwise, but how hard would it be to replace object review with scan mode? If not replace, what about just adding it in, period? That being said, where do I go to make this suggestion? Do I file a pull request? I thought those were only for bugs.

Anyway of Getting NVDA 19.3.1 to Read Unlabeled Graphics?
Kenny <kwashingtonbox@...>
Hope everyone is doing well?
I'm a former user of JAWS. Find myself going back to use it for left mouse clicking on unlabeled graphics found on some application windows. The NVDA review cursor only seems to read text displayed on the screen. Since the graphic isn't generating a separate nav object, I'm not able to use that NVDA reading function to see it either. Is there any way of getting NVDA to read the numeric window handle integer of an unlabeled graphic? Sort of how JAWS "Say All Graphics" mode does? Just say something letting me know a graphic is there, so I can route the mouse p ointer to that spot and left click on it. Maybe there's an add-on available that gives NVDA that functionality?
