Re: Add-on Updater and NVDA 2019.3 add-ons: more add-on updates are on their way #addonrelease

Good to know joseph.

Looks like report symbols and emoteicons are updated and stable.

Dropbox is the last to become stable still at least from the site.

Everything else just works.

Technically image describer needs updates but I have removed it as I don't use it right now.

There are the nstockton addons but right now when I doodled with the manafests the addon can't just run, and I guess it will eventually get updated like everything else.

If not I will just run old nvda when playing interactive fiction when I need to.

Hello,

NVDA 2019.3.1 fixes an issue with translations.

It is compatible with Windows 7, changes are the same as NVDA 2019.3 except translations were not complete on NVDA 2019.3 and are OK on NVDA 2019.3.1.

Hop this helps,

Patrick

Please consider the context and see what message is below the one you are responding to.  the comment had nothing to do with your post.  it was directed to another list member who made a comment about the form.

In addition, it isn't a question of presenting skill challenges.  If someone has problems working with radio buttons, they will have problems on all sorts of forms where they are used.

There is nothing on the form that is exceptionally difficult.  In my opinion, the answer is not to dumb down the form.  The answer is to present a link with instructions for those who don't know how to work with the form.  Doing everything for people leaves them unable to do anything.  Teaching people increases confidence, increases their ability to do more, and will help them in the future.  And that's why I sent a teaching message.

I hesitated to make the first comment  as I knew it would attract criticism of the skill level of people encountering difficulties of this kind on the site.

However for a final comment I would still say that presenting skill challenges for people on a donation page seems an odd approach, even if pointing this out draws some disparaging remarks  on skill levels of a list of this kind.

I will hold on any further comment now.

That's simply because you don't understand how it works. Of course the custom donation button is going to do that, because you left 200 in the edit box before it.

f the nativeaccess application will get better in terms of accessibility when used with nvda? I ask this question because i'm trying to see if nvaccess.org will fully support nativeaccess to help improve accessibility and see if certain keystrokes e will work as an example when while using nvda together with nativeaccess I find that when I try to perform a scan command by using insert+ the number 2 key nothing happens and when I use insert+r to perform a scan nothing is recognized. I don't know whether i'm using the correct keystrokes concerning this but I thaught that I would let you know about it maybe you might have some insight on this that i'm missing.

Hi list 2019.3 is now on my computer I have several add ons that won’t work with the new version.  I’m aware of remote not working yet but will the dropbox and the skype and teamtalk add ons be updated soon?  I don’t want to remove the old ones to make sure new updates come in.  are there any timelines for these to be updated.  Also I didn’t quite see what is different in speech in the new version other than the different espeak engine.  What has changed there?
