You still can download eloquence for Android if you have buyed it

They simply dropped the support all together. it wont work with the 64bit apps only future android OS. plus they pooled it from the play store. even if you've purchased it it and you have a direct link to its page, it would show this item is no longer available. In short if the user doesn't have a backed up apk file, or or have a friend who does, he or she can kiss their money goodbye. the only solution for them would be 3rd party websites, and those are mostly offering a cracked eloquence file. See the irony?

Re: turning off UIA for the Microsoft Edge Development Version
I haven't figured out how to do this for just edge, but I did report the latest beta bug this morning. When a page loads in Edge, nothing is read aloud when trying to navigate through the browser except when pressing tab and shift tab. On Chrome and FF, no problems.

There is already a compatible version. I tried the demo about a week ago.

The SAPI5 version works for sure, but not the one with the NVDA addon. Codefactory will give an updated version of the addon as soon as NVDA 2019.3 is released.
From: nvda@nvda.groups.io <nvda@nvda.groups.io> On Behalf Of Gene
What do you mean by the newer version doesn't work like the older versions? What are you using, an NVDA add-on or something else? You can use Eloquence in the new version of NVDA. The Code Factory Add-on has been made compatible. You should be able to use the SAPI 5 version with NVDA. I haven't tried it but there is no reason it shouldn't work.

Hi all! I use Elequance on both JAWS and NVDA. I’m sorry that the newest version doesn’t work like the older versions! So far, I’ve done all right with Elequance but if that changes, I’ll be sure to explore other voices on NVDA and pick one.

With android its like when ever you out of internet connection, and rebooted your phone, change battery, when that was done a lot years back. you'd end up with a total silent phone, it happen with me during a time with very important call to make, when I was in a busy street, Had to ask a total stranger to dial the number for me. the only times I've used it after, was for testing the voice app after its rarely updates. and of course, the same crap we got from them despite their responds, years back, with a promises for a final fix. I won't believe a word coming out of of them.

Re: Using NVDA on a tablet.
John Isige
So I tried putting my surface into tablet mode. If I'm using it normally, I can move around the touch screen and find qRead and double tap it, and the window will open. If it's in tablet mode though, I get qRead as a running window at the bottom of the screen as a button with a submenu. If I double tap that, it says pressed, but I don't see anything new, just the start menu with the tiles. Am I missing something? How am I supposed to get to things, e.g. the desktop or what have you? I generally get using touch gestures on NVDA, but I'm clearly missing something when trying to use the Surface purely as a tablet. In theory if I have qRead open I can get into the window and do a three finger flick down to start reading, since I've got enhanced touch installed. But I am clearly missing something about Windows' tablet mode.
