Advertising Windows that overlay part of the screen
Christopher Gray
Hi:
I'm a Sound Forge user with Magix. Unfortunately, Magix has this horrible habit of placing advertisements that overlay part of my screen. I can't find them with NVDA or Cobra, not on the tray or just alt+tabbing around my open windows. Can somebody tell me how to find and close these windows? Hello
I have started getting this odd notification from NVDA that just says 'activity' all the time. Do you know where this is coming from and how I can stop it? --Sile

Double reading in tree items.

Hi! There is really a fix for this situation. While the new nvda’s version doesn’t show up, there is a work around. Open eclipse and press ctrl+capslock + p to create a new profile. Choose in the triggers’s methods thath it should be activated with application. Your goal is to get this name since it matches the executable’s name that. You should copy and send us this name. With this information I can send you na app module that match this name and this module will make nvda load the scripts made for eclipse.

Greetings community.
Currently i'm using NVDA 2019.2.1 and liclipse 5.3.0.
NVDA reads twice every time i move cursor up or down inside a tree element.
I'm using eclipse-java-2019-09 too and there is not any problem.

Re: Problem with Microsoft Edge: Chromium edition with the screen reader: Browse mode doesn't exist?
hurrikennyandopo ...
Hi
It might be the app tool bar it is getting focused on. I have not worked out apart from using the alt key + 4 key to shut that page then it goes to the home page. you have set.
I thought it might of been the section under favorites doing it so have set them not to show etc but is still happening.
There might be some thing under settings that can be turned off?
I think the same was at one time happening to chrome but I think I might of deleted the shortcuts? then it stopped on that other screen.
I would have to try it on this one to see.

Re: Double reading in tree items.

We have an issue for this:
https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/10001 Reading the issue, it looks like there is a pull request (someone has written the code which should fix it). It looks like it's just waiting on being reviewed and approved, but hopefully that means a fix isn't too far away. If you subscribe to the original issue, you'll be notified when the pull request is approved and the issue is closed, and then you can try the latest alpha version from our snapshots page to test it for yourself: https://www.nvaccess.org/files/nvda/snapshots/ Regards Quentin.

On a related topic, I'll be getting a new hard drive next month. An expert will install it for me, and he should be able to move files and programs from the old drive to the new. But I'm wondering if it would be better to create a portable copy of NVDA on a thumb drive with my settings saved and install it that way. Thanks in advance for any answers.

You are bottom posting. Please send your
responses at the top of the message. If you don't, a lot of people on
blindness lists will think you didn't add new material or they won't be willing
to plow through all the old material to find the response. If you don't
know how to top post, list members will be happy to tell you how using the
device and app you are using.
