Well done Monty – I did not know that one. Used to use Insert page down in Jaws but did not know that this command NVDA End existed in NVDA to do this relibably. I think NVDA probably performs better than Jaws in this area at least now.

Hi, I am Ganesh from Hyderabad, India.

While using WinWord with NVDA, I got the following doubts.

1. Is there any short Cut key to know the page number?

For example:

If I am reading 50 pages document.

I read few pages. I wants to stop here. now how can I know, in which page I am on?

2. In the same way can I know, line number?

3. If I press page up, my cursor will be in first line of previous page.

In the same way is there any trick, so that I can go to end of the same page?

4. Is there any shortcut key to read whole page?

This topic is now locked.

If there are issues directly related to using Acapela Voices with NVDA that have not as yet been covered, please feel free to start a new topic so titled.  It would be better if the apples and oranges that are the Infovox4 device and Acapela Voices with NVDA were not mixed, anyway.

And vocalizer voices, finding a working demo is quite hard, you download from 2-3 places and all not compatible with nvda above 2019.3, then you find one with eloquence which is also buggy.

For foreign language users, such as Arabic, finding a suitable voice without using a cracked version is quite difficult. And the situation hasn’t improved yet.

Good luck.

Subject says it all.

I was mucking about looking at what extras I could buy for the system I

have and found that infovox4 which a few of us have managed to afford is

going out of support sometime next year.

Due to changes in markets and sales, acapella is dropping this product.

More likely in my opinion they can't keep up with all the new windows

updates, with windows 11 coming out later on who knows.

Up shot of this is that the only massive voice pack apart from orpheus

you can get is sadly the codefactory voices.

You can buy the acapella voices for nvda but I really want more sapi

voices and I want to be able to buy big packages instead of by the voice.

Hi all.
Yes, the game bar of Windows10 is good for record a window.
Also, I use OBS Studio, an application open source. A part is accessible with the sistem focus, in the part of choose a source (select the screen, the camera, etc) you need use the object navigation of NVDA.

Hence the reason that knowing that:

1.  NVDA+N,H,Q brings up the NVDA Commands Quick Reference in your chosen browser
and
2.  NVDA+N,H,U brings up the NVDA User Guide in your chosen browser

is vital.  One or the other of these two things generally contains the answer to well over 90% of, "How do I . . .?," questions for NVDA itself.  And you can find those answers far more quickly, in many cases, than by asking here (not that asking here is a problem).

Note:  I have updated the topic title so that it is entirely accurate for archival purposes.

Acapela Voices and the Acapela Infovox4 are not one and the same, although the latter does employ the former.

It is also critical to note, and repeat, what Acapela says with regard to the existing functionality of InfoVox4 after they sunset their support: The product will remain fully operational and available as long as Windows OS allows it.
That's likely to be for quite a while after active support by Acapela ceases.  There will just no longer be any fixes or support for it from Acapela.

Re: How do I set up Audio Ducking?

First, and it's a major lifeline as far as I'm concerned, remember that you can bring up the NVDA Commands Quick Reference in your web browser by hitting NVDA+N,H,Q.  The vast majority of "the commonly used features or settings" will be found in that document, and Audio Ducking is one of them.

The keyboard shortcut for Audio Ducking is NVDA+SHIFT+D (regardless of whether you're using Desktop or Laptop keyboard layout).  It is a "circular toggle" that allows you to choose either off or one of two other conditions under which ducking will occur.
