Nvda addon Notepad plus plus
Yeah, all true, but it is pretty good at text processing. It does a lot of things that notepad/wordpad won’t, like the word count/summary feature. Two other things I use it for is removing line breaks

Alt key alone doesn't work in a lot of modern probgrammes including, I think, chrome...modern programmes do not really have a "menu bar" as such so the alt key by itself does nothing, rather than take
