Yep, I did that also, but still nothing appears to change. I followed the example in the Excel with NVDA study material.

Automatic Column and Row Header Reading
Hi all, 11.2.1 of the NVDA user guide mentions that NVDA is able to automatically announce appropriate row and column headers when navigating around Excel worksheets. I used to be able to achieve this

No, the letters observed in menus can be disabled by turning off the reporting of object shortcut keys. This is found under NVDA's settings in the object presentation category.

Some NVDA Questions
CTRL is used in place of control in many applications. If you don't like it being read as ctrl, you could always change the text string in NVDA's speech dictionary.

NVDA's OCR recognises the current navigator object, not the system focus. So make sure that you position the navigator object first at the place you think the OCR should occur, before pressing NVDA+R.

Hi Edhoari I'm late to this thread, but the Speech History addon may work for you. It has the ability to move through the buffer of speech items, and copy the last utterance you have heard to the clip

Hi Rayn, There isn't a specific driver just for Polaris. It is the Hims driver built into NVDA. Ensure the Polaris can pair successfully with your computer first.

You could also try pressing control, NVDA F1 to hear the name of the currently active application which may give us a clue.
