Hi, As far as I know, when you first install NVDA on Windows 10 it defaults to Microsoft David from OneCore. On earlier versions of Windows it defaults to eSpeak (the one with an infamous reputation)

Automatic detecting Braille display
I am on English language, BrailleNote Touch and QBraille displays and automatic detection causes no problems. I suspect this may be a possible bug related to your specific braille display or something

Go to nvda menu > help > quick reference or something like that and it'll load the webpage. You could then copy the contents into a word doc but the formatting will probably be lost :(
