On rare occasions when I delete a file or close a window I get silence from NVDA. even when i tab. I have to change virtual desktops to get speech back.

i do. It is a check book program it will allow you to track credit card purchases as well as any banking account. It does not do inventory,nor track investments, nor wages.

When i click a link and go to another page I cannot alt+left arrow to get back to the previous page. it just sits there no matter how many times i repeat the command.
