I have the code factory addon for NVDA and the Evan voice is already available to download for vocalizer.

Well I got a update nvda_2021.3.2 yesterday and this morning I got nvda_2021.3.3.

So why another update to nvda after yesterdays?

Does the number of entries in the default dictionary slow down NVDA's performance?

You have to reinstall the addon then uncheck the boxes to split the sound. Then you can uninstall it. It is a bug with the addon.

I have contacted code factory in the past with questions and they have always replied stating it wasn't their problem but that of the screen reader.

I asked this question a while back but got no response. I purchased my vocalizer/eloquinse NVDA addon from AT guys. The addon was produced by Code Factory. There is another on line vendor called Tiflo

insert alt s brings up a menu to switch speech syns. What does this have to do with starting or stopping sound splitter?

I think this addon would be more useful if there was a hot key to start or stop the sound splitting. That way for example if you were starting a Zoom meeting or similar thing you could start the sound

So if you want to simply disable it you need to go into the addon settings and uncheck the box to split sounds

I solved the problem by reinstalling the sound splitter addon changing to not split the sound then removed the addon which got things back to normal. Disabling the addon does not resolve the issue as

As I indicated in my original post Window Eyes had the option to change the order of name first or control name first. That doesn't mean NVDA needs to do the same but I liked the feature in Window Eye
