Thanks! Speakers and microphone are good to know at least, as I have multiple sound devices. I suspect I'll end up going back to desktop, but thought I'd try it since NVDA is working with it and they

Slightly OT: Is there a way to tell if a Windows update is a major upgrade?

So to answer the responses so far: 1. You have to license after every major update because Eloquence uses one of those licenses that's based on stuff about your computer, don't ask me what because I d

Keystroke command for saving in Internet Explorer 11
If you want to save a web page, ctrl-s will do it, I think. If you want to save a file, right click on it, which is either your applications key or shift-f10, and pick "save as" from the menu.

I know you have to access the information bar to download executables a lot of the time, but yeah I don't remember what that is either, I haven't used IE in years. Personally I'd just install Firefox

You choose save, and a dialogue will come up asking you where to save it? There's nothing special about NVDA here. That is, you don't have to do anything in particular because you're running NVDA over

Accessing toolbars in Firefox.
Sorry, that doesn't help. I don't mean making the toolbar appear on the screen. I mean being able to get from a document to the toolbar so I can move through the buttons on the toolbar and activate so

You can add voices from other versions of English though, the Canadian voices aren't bad. See here, that's how I learned how to do it, thanks http://accessibilitycentral.net/nvda%20tutorials%20for%20w
