I'll check it out. I haven't updated to the beta yet because I was waiting on Remote like everybody else, but I can update to the beta and test. I'll try to get to it later tonight.

Accessing alerts on webpages
Huh, really? Maybe it's called something else because it doesn't show up in the user guide under that name. You're not thinking of the speech viewer under tools by chance?

To be fair, it's not that simple. A lot of times for me, alerts get interrupted by some other web event, and i only get part of them. So having a way to access them would be pretty handy. Suppose for

NVDA's OCR not working on Facebook.
I have English US and English UK, and it's set to English US. And since you say the linked image recognizes for you, there's definitely something weird going on here. Huh, I wonder if it's an addon? B

Thanks, I've heard of that and it's good to know it works. But I'm using Firefox, not Chrome, and I'd really like to figure out why NVDA's OCR isn't doing what it's supposed to. I wonder if it's even

I'm sorry, but WTF? Some dude's getting a program's title read to him periodically, and the conclusion is, yeah dude you might want to more or less reinstall Windows. That's like, option number one? I

Can't run NVDA with admin rights on a MS Surface
Is that something that's essential for the Surface? I might be getting one soon. Could you expand on the fix a bit? Do you just install NVDA before the driver, or roll the driver back or what?
