Last useable version of NVDA
I don't think I ever tried NVDA on Win98 or95 or 3.1. But I have a Win98 machine I may have to press into service. If NVDA won't do it, maybe I'll jhust have to crack JAWS. Howard

SPL Addon Questions
Thank you Sarah. It's a very delicate balance here: Someone puts out some initials without explanation and I have to decide, do I care to take time to go look it up; or maybe I'd be missing something

Thanks Roger, then, can you tell me the steps to make a configuration profile? It should be simple, but I just can't remember. Thanks. Howard

Synthesizer support
Will the external sound card work even though there are no drivers installed? I'll give it a try. I already have a USB sound card--that isn't really a card, just a little square box.

Happy Wednesday all. Is there any way to make a portable copy of NVDA drive an old external hardware synthesizer? I have a computer that I messed up; deleted the sound drivers. And, of course, nothing

key assignments in NVDA
I don't seem to be smart enough to learn about object navigation. However, I am using laptop configuration on my desktop computer. I find the commands (that I can remember) more convenient. Howard

And also with you, Brian. Looking through the menus, if I'd looked at changing synthesizers, I would have found it. But I didn't want to change synths. Got it now, and thanks. Howard

This may be my answer (19.1.1) rather than going back to earlier versions. (See my question, probably posted later.) Howard

Hello folks, Using Windows 10 pro 64, NVDA 19.1, MS Office 2003/Excel. I'm having trouble running Excel with NVDA. With NVDA running, Excel will only flash and stop; reverting to the previous screen.
