Hi. I assume you're trying to delete a file in Windows explorer. Try turning "Report object descriptions" on under object presentation.

The Switch Synth addon on the NVDA add-ons site does this.

Go to the NVDA menu, preferences, Keyboard settings. Select Use CapsLock as an NVDA modifier key.

If the insert key at the top doesn't work, try this: Open the keyboard preferences, and check Use extended Insert as an NVDA modifier key.
