This is it. Ideally, it probably shouldn't pause in either case. Lack of a period? In this case, there is one. It should pause after "one". One isn't an abbreviation. What is eSpeak trying to optimize

Have you tried disabling the audio enhancements? In the Sound control panel, press Properties on your headset, see if it has an Enhancements tab. There should be a checkbox in there called Disable all

Try this: https://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/reviewCursorCopier.en.html If you don't like that one's interface, I have Virtual Copy which does the same thing but with a command layer.

NVDA says "blank" every time CTRL is pressed in VipMud 2
This is VIPMud. I assume it's sending an empty string to NVDA. NVDA says blank in this case.
