Joseph gave a fix for this this morning. You just shut down nvda, wait about a minute or so, then restart it. Then it is gone. I also rebooted my computer and the message did not appear so the problem

There is no need for speech mode beeps to do this. You can configure nvda to just beep when it is downloading a file and the higher the pitch of the beeps, the more progress has been made in the downl
