Yeah, it's just a silly popup that you can normally ignore. If you need to, use Malwarebytes to clear any unwanted browser objects that might make it come back.

Screen Reader under DOS
There's a version of DosBox that some people made, called Talking Dos Box. It comes with a few screen-readers and one of them is jAWS for Dos. I haven't tried it at all, though.

Open Office vs Libre
Libre seems to work pretty will with NVDA, or at least the word processor does. It may in fact work better than OpenOffice. Strangely (or perhaps not), it'd be the opposite if you were a JAWS user. An

Using “what you hear” or whatever it’s called in Goldwave is definitely a neat trick and can certainly be really helpful. You can’t really get a virus from an mp3 though. The OP asked for a programme

I found that once I switched back to Eloquence, JAWS crashed a lot less. It’s been performing the best I’ve ever seen since I dropped Vocalizer as my primary synth. I got tricked into liking the more

Hey folks. I’m sorry, this isn’t directly an NVDA issue, but the list moderators are often quite relaxed about letting things drift off on occasion, and I’m not currently signed up to any forums where

The search box in Windows 10 works better than ever. Normally. Not sure why it isn’t in your case, but I have sometimes noticed unpredictable results, too. It’s ok, though. Use the run command instead

VFO not complimentary about NVDA
It's usually security concerns, I think. "open source" means the developers don't protect their code and thus it can be easily hacked. And yes, I am well aware of the obvious counter-argument to this.
