any tutorials/demos golden cursor
I keep hearing this addon is useful for being able to move the mouse etc, & is indeed somewhat analogous to the Jaws cursor. Does anyone know of or have on their site a demo/tutorial on how this works

Donating/purchasing from the NVDA website
Sile, Paypal does the conversion from Australian dollars automatically & tells you how much in your currency that comes to. It really is not an issue.

Calling All Object Navigation Experts!
Hi, Brian V. Once you've object navigated to a control, have you tried NVDA+shift+m (laptop) or NVDA+numpad-divide (desktop) to bring your mouse there? At that point hopefully you can do a left click

Be sure to always maximize the window, Brian V, but, having thus said, sometimes--indeed most of the time--that isn't always very helpful. It's a real pita when programs are like that. <bglists=blueyo

PS--you might wanna consider the Golden Cursor addon to see if you can save mouse hotspots for navigation. Obviously, since you're sighted, you yourself won't need that, but perhaps a student of yours

Janet, this is just a suggestion, but I'm wondering if it might not be more helpful--& more accurate--to simply access the NVDA menu, go to help, then go to the "command quick reference guide". There,

Speech exception dictionary question
It goes w/o saying, except perhaps it doesn't--but please back up your dictionary files before porting them to a text editor. Hopefully that'll preserve them in the event things go ape-haywire.

sociohack, learning Braille is extremely helpful for what you want. You may not get good enough to read books, but that isn't what you want anyway. You just want to get good enough to read notes, etc,
