NVDA pronouncing cups as Cuban Pesos
The reason it does this is because the screen reader isn't giving the synth enough information to figure out what you meant. Usually, you say 2 cups. That's fine. For the case of 1/2 cup, 1/2 is a fra

NVDA and Words+ EZ Keys: arrow keys not working
Here's how you fix that. First, check if EZ Keys has a setting to send the extended arrow keys. If so, enable it and you should be fine. If not, then we need to unbind the keypad keys. To do that, ope

I agree with you, and it's not just state transitions. NVDA really doesn't focus on user experience, and it shows. I can count some things off the top of my head. 1. The focus issues. There are thread

Reading epub books with NVDA
I don't consider Balabolka an accessible epub reader. NVDA uses the display model for its edit field, so say all doesn't work. Say all is one of the most important things you can have in a reader.

Cannot get rid of ducking cycle in laptop keyboard mode
I assume you assigned your tab key to ducking mode. So go to desktop mode, NVDA menu, Preferences, Input gestures..., search for ducking, find the key, expand it, remove tab.
