Strategies for navigating YouTube comments using NVDA?
I'd also like to point out that the comment system for Reddit seems to be a bit broken at least with firefox, since pressing j and k doesn't automatically read the focused comment, though it does seem

windows 10 skype 7 is inaccessible with nvda.
Try the Skype desktop app? I don't know what the difference between that and the Windows store app is, but I have had joy with the desktop app.

caret browsing question?
Interesting. I figured it was redundant, but I guess you'd need it without the virtual buffer, so it's probably more useful for things like narrator then.

caret browsing question?
Does the "caret browsing" setting in most web browsers help NVDA at all? Just a curiosity. I know you used to apparently need it for Windows mail, but is it recommended for browsing the web?

Sharing Miranda NG packs
Might be worth using for IRC, or similar, I'll have to look at this, thanks.

News – NV Access - NVDA 2019.2RC2 Released
#nvaccessnewsfeed
On the website under latest news, it shows 2020.1rc1 which is the same file name that you get when you click the link. So it looks like it's just the email announcement generator, or they corrected it

Trying to learn NVDA for the Microsoft Flight simulator and the add on program Ideal Flight Special Edition
Neat, but I guess it sounds like I should wait for the October updates, and possibly the new XBox with accessibility fixes. I'm guessing you use one of the phone OCR apps? And then point it at the scr

Trying to learn NVDA for the Microsoft Flight simulator and the add on program Ideal Flight Special Edition
How does one get started with flight simulators? I'm bored and it might be something worth screwing around with? Or should I just wait until the 2020 version is released?

Thunderbird talking way too much
I find it works lovely here. I don't have any issues with it not reporting anything that matters. I still get the alert text when new messages arrive, so I'm not sure what information is being left ou

Thunderbird talking way too much
I got the 68.7 update today and noticed it was chatty. It was reading the status bar, so I disabled that, and it's less verbose. You can disable the status bar from view -> toolbars.

NVDA has Acquired a new, and somewhat annoying Feature
I'd assume the 64-bit Thunderbird would be supported, because you can get the 68.6 builds from the download page. True it's not the default option, but it works here. I don't know about the alpha buil

NVDA 2019.3 Crash, liblouis?
I saw that too, but it hasn't crashed with 2020.1 beta1 so far yet, which got a LibLouis update. Try the beta, and see how you get along.

Q Read alternative
Yes, I'd like a decent reader for braille, as well, because sometimes large books will either be completely unresponsive in things like adobe reader, or cause it to crash entirely. Epub is good too. I

One Core Synth
One core has other weird quirks. If you read something in 24-hour time notaion, that is after midnigt, it will read is 24:something instead of 0. So that 00:23 will speak 24:23.

I'd prefer Nemeth if that was possible. Has anyone done anything with UEB math? Just curious.
