accenting letters
Hey Robert. Every accented letter will have a different character code. They are each their own symbol; you don’t “add the accents to letters”, as such, as far as the pC is concerned. So, for the spec

Using Skype with NVDA
No, you’re right – and so long as there’s still an installable desktop version, I’m willing to bet it’ll always be better than the “modern universal app” or whatever they’re called.

Is There a Memory Leak when NVDA Works with FireFox?
I haven’t experienced this yet so I don’t know what to say about that. But you can always use the taskkill command to close processes if task manager is too slow/unresponsive. Taskkill /im firefox.exe

Yeah, Audacity ias a multi-track editor; I think Wavepad is supposed to be simpler and more comprable to something like Goldwave (except perhaps not even as feature-rich as that). If you want true pro

Limit to number of messages in groups.io E-mail threads
You could try direct sound API – it has limitations but probably wouldn’t affect you and many older applications (including stuff like winamp) still use it. As an experiment, you could try turning off

Strategies for navigating YouTube comments using NVDA?
Hi. Yes, you often have to scroll down in order for the comments to become visible. Until you do that, quick navigation to find the edit field for instance won't work, nor will searching for a word li

NVDA snd System Access, not a good combination
Hey Bob. Clearly there is something wrong with System Access if the process wont' stop even if it is supposed to be unloaded. If you are having trouble using task manager during the system slowdown, y

NVDA snd System Access, not a good combination
That’s odd, I have never seen that prompt from narrator. Note that I never would normally have two screen-readers running at the same time, but there are times when JFW or NVDA will appear to lock up

Go to the list box, and select "home". There you will find settings for your home page. Or just go to the search edit field and type in "homepage" and it should come up.

Imo the new task manager is much better. I used to use Process Explorer instead of the old (so called classic) task manager, but I don't bother with it much anymore (well, it also doesn't work great w

Yeah, but..it's a media player; do they really have to "go anywhere"? lol Not that many new non-streaming media formats under the sun, for audio at least. Winamp as a video player isn't very robust.

I know it's not strictly speaking necessary to use an add-on for VLC to do what I want (except for some of the dialogue boxes), but isn't this addon incompatible with the latest nVDA? Or has it been u

Latest Skype and screen readers
Never really had accessibility problems with skype, but for a long time I wasn’t able to use it as my stuff was so old. You should use the so-called Skype Electron aka Skype for Desktop.
