NVDA or Firefox56 bug?

Using latest NVDA with Firefox56, on some sites, like Goodreads, when I either Enter or space on a link to open it, it takes me back to the Desktop or the last program I was on; what's weirder still is that Firefox remains open within the Alt+tab cycle. Any ideas if this might be a Firefox or NVDA issue?

i have this problem most in skype and sometimes in firefox.
i close other programs for solving this problem or return to firefox and use left click of mouse sometimes. Yes the other day the whole of Goldwave still running vanished, though I could still hear the file playing.

I puut this down to a windows bug. Its always been there but its very hard to pin down. the only fix quite often is to try to close the computer and then windows spots the invisible software, and asks if you want to wait cole or whatever, sometimes if you select wait it will lwet you see it again, occasionally it won't and then you are stuck, should you shut down and loose the lot? Often there is no choice bt of course many programs, including goldwave will let you pick up the temp file that was saved when you reload the software.
