something strange in outlook - bug in 2018.1 RC1

Hi Rosemarie,

No, you can't change it in Outlook, it comes as a stripped version with
Outlook, and to be honest, it worked fine until 2017.4 dev and 2018.1 RC
versions.
Something must change an email, even if only open it for viewing. This is
very annoying, and I hope it will be fixed for the final release.
I'm back to 2017.4 for now.

The editing part of Word is included in MS Outlook. No need to have MS Word
installed.

If you don't have word, how can it use it? Wordpad. I use Jarte for everyday
stuff and word if I need to see tables and page breaks etc.

Now this is interesting. Is yours one of the versions of Outlook that
uses Word as its editor?
I get this all the time in word. I have a feeling its nvda hooking
into something making it think something has changed, for example. I
create a word document, I save it, I then go to exit word and it says
the text has changed do I want to save it again so to speak. Not every
time, but enough to be annoying.

Yesterday and today I noticed something different in outlook. When I
hit escape to get out of a message, I get a message saying that the
body of the message has changed and do I want to save it. I've never
seen this before.
Is there something I might need to change in either outlook or NVDA?

Hello Rosemarie,

I have to stay with outlook since it is the only allowed mail program in my company.
I am using now the outlook.py from the 2017.4 release and it works fine in 2018.1RC, but that can't be the final solution. The solution is to fix the outlook.py in 2018.1.RC.
