Strange symbols

Brian's Mail list account

Seems to be OK though that message posted that is suspicious from Outlook earlier waned me of dodgy active x in the email and just showed me the plain text instead.

Hi Gene,

When replying, the issue does not exist. I don't see any odd
characters in the place of spaces. I am sure it is something to do
with just how Thunderbird is rendering his original messages. I have
seen this a few times with some individuals located in foreign
countries, so maybe it could be something to do with a font type.

I should alter what I said. I should say that, in reading the messages quoted under yours, I didn't have any problems reading the first two or three. I didn't read further. According to Ron's message, others appear to have problems reading one of these messages in their original form. Unless the problem is solved, what happens if you issue the reply command and try to read the message?

Hi Rosemarie,

I hear that oddity with his messages too. What is happening is that the spaces between words are some sort of unrecognizable character--unrecognizable to screen readers and certain synthesizers I would guess. I think it may be because he is sending his messages from an IPhone or other IOS device. It is interpreting his spaces between words as some sort of character.

There is a program called unchecky that will allow you to install any software without any adds, or any unwanted software getting downloaded with what you want. Free Make might download and install better if you install the unchecky software. Just do a Google search for unchecky. Take care.

How do you issue that command? Do you put it after the extension or before it?
