messages disappearing from my folders in outlook

Hi, everyone,
I don't know what happened to some of my messages that I had from other lists that I'm on. They just suddenly disappeared. I know I didn't delete them. I tried looking in the junk folder but they're not there. Is there something else I can do?

Take the machine back to when you saw them last? However I'm not optimistic. I seem to remember this sort of thing happening in older Outlooks back when I tried to use it.

If it's an IMAP or Microsoft Exchange account, you can probably just delete

your *.ost files. Mine are found in the user profile folder, under AppData\local\Microsoft\Outlook. You need to close Outlook before deleting the files. When you start Outlook again, it will retrieve the messages from the server and recreate those files. -----Original Message-----

Hi Rose-Marie Is your Outlook configured to auto-archive? Check your folder list and see if there is a level 0 folder containing archived messages.

Normally a reset of the account downloads loads of the emails again, but the problem is if you have any stored offline and they are no longer on the server they are gone for ever.

I use that search feature a lot also. Before the last update, when I type something it only speaks the first letter instead of all of what I type. It used to be allright but one day this odd behavior took over the search box. What am I to do?
