Using Windows PowerShell

jordy deweer <webmaster_deweer@...>

Hello everybody,

I need to use the Windows PowerShell but it seems like NVDA doesn’t support the fully WinPS window.

When I type letters, NVDA doesn’t say them, where it says typed letters in all other applications!

Hopeful you understand what I mean, my grammar wasn’t correctly used, I know!

But can anybody help me with this issue / problem?

Thanks in advance!

Regards, Jordy D

Hi.
If you’re ussing Windows 10 I think you can use the Windows 10 App Essentials NVDA Addon, I think this addon supports Windows Powershel but I don’t know certainly.

Cheers.

I've had trouble with PowerShell on Windows 7. In my case, tethered
Braille doesn't work properly.

Brian, the CMD Prompt works okay, but in the CommandPrompt, I can not execute
$ new-item -type file __init__.py
(for example).
Thanks for your answer!
Greetings, Jordy

I get a warning, but the problem is solved.

When I start Windows Powershel for 32bit, then I have something like this:

Cannot load PSReadline module. Console is running without PSReadline.

What does that mean and is it a big problem?

Thanks for the answers.

Sounds like a powershell file is missing or corrupted.
Does it run OK if nevda is completely shut down?

Yes, I restarted my computer just before I ran the PS.
I think I will search some information with Google.
Thanks for your tip!
