W10 settings, was windows one core voice max rate
Janet Brandly
Hello Quentin and all,
This is probably a stupid question, but how do I get into text-to-speech
settings? I just typed it into Courtanna and got about 12 different
results.
Thanks for your patience,
Jan

rate Hi Manish,
In Windows Text-to-speech settings (start typing text to speech settings in
the start menu) there is a slider for "speed". Move that further to the
right to increase the speech rate. Note that this setting as well as
NVDA's speech rate together both affect how fast the voice talks, so the fastest
speed would be both at max.

I hyphenated text-to-speech, and that worked for me, Janet. Hope that helps.

Hello all,
I made this change and what a difference! Wish I’d known about this
months ago, but better late than never. Thanks so much!
