nvda icon

Gary Metzler

Hi All,

I am using the latest win 10 and nvda rc3.  I noticed that the nvda icon doesn’t show up in the system tray.  Is there a setting I need to check to get it to show up?  Thanks for any help.

If you focus on either the desktop, or the notification/system tray portion of the windows UI, and then tab around until you are focused on what gets announced as the task view button, invoke the context menu, and arrow up to taskbar settings, and hit enter on it.

Then tab over to the item called "Select which icons appear on the taskbar ", and, hit enter on it.

That will bring up a window where you can tab around, activating checkboxes for all system tray icons to make them appear, or not, and, there will be a couple of them mentioned there for NVDA, which you can activate, and the icon should then appear in the system tray.

Well you can hide icons in the tray, even in windows 7 this was possible, maybe it is there but one of those not displayed by default for some reason?
