Microsoft Mark synthesizer voice

Hi,


I may be wrong but I thought there was some discussion about the Mark voice and it being available with NVDA. I am running NVDA 2016.3 and the Windows anniversary update with all updates since then and Mark is still not showing up in the list of voices for me. It does show David and Zira though.


I checked and Mark is available in Narrator. I'd sure like to use it since it is much easier on my ears with my hearing loss.


Any idea why I can't use Mark?

Ah yes - it was pulled due to issues. Luckily, there is an add-on from one of the experts that adds this voice back.

At the moment, NVDA doesn't support any mobile voices. This might be
due to regressions, as Next snapshots had this enhancement.

What you can do, at your own risk is download the SAPI5 mobile add-on
from Jeff's site. The link is:
