Seeking accessible irc clients

Hi all,

Are there any accessible irc clients? Mirc used to be around. Is it still the
client of choice?

Yes, mIRC (also known as mIRC4Life) is still around and there have been 4 updates to it just this year. Also, ChatZilla add on is available for Firefox and it works very well with nvda.

Yes, I have used instantbird but did not know it could handle irc.

I would use instantbird but Miranda NG is accessible with NVDA as well. http://www.miranda-ng.org/en/

Don't forget you can use Thunderbird to connect to IRC.
